"We recently contracted with Leghart Brothers to refinish our hardwood floors. From start to finish it was a pleasure to work with the owners. They are patient, knowledgeable and their staff is on time and very respectful. Our floors look amazing, and we could not be more pleased with the workmanship. We would highly recommend Leghart Brothers!"
"Dave and his crew did a great job on our garage floor! On time, very professional and great communications, new garage floor in about 4 hrs. They did a nice job of cleaning up after finished. Best price and warranty out of three different companies I look into."
"I can't say enough about the wonderful job Doran Hard Surfaces did for us, and I can't wait to have them back again to finish our steps and upstairs hallway and then our second floor bedrooms. Greg from Doran did all of the work on his own in a single day. He was prompt, efficient, hard-working and dedicated. He was also professional, courteous, friendly and very helpful in describing caring for the hard wood floors. I can't rate them highly enough!"
"I wanted my oversized tub removed and to install a larger walk in shower . Luis and his team came and immediate began working on demolishing the bathroom. Everyday they cleaned up behind themselves and was patient with me to answer all of my questions and any concerns I had . They were very professional and pleasant to work with. Also Tom who is the Contract Manager also work with me even when I made the mistake .. I would recommend Luis and Tom for all your Bathroom Renovations !!! Very pleased customer !!"
"I have worked with 6 hard wood floor refinishers over the years on a number of different jobs. I have seldom done reviews of contractors but Marino Flooring and Andrei are exceptional in all respects. Andrei is a professional in all respects. No need to look any further if you want to work with the best."
"The installers were very hard workers and I greatly appreciate what they did. Everything looks great for the most part. They could've cleaned up the wood chips in the basement where they were cutting the floor boards. There was a shop vac right where they were working. I'm going down today to clean it up. They did sweep in the areas where the floor was installed. The wrong corner rounds were ordered, but they found some of the right ones and installed them. They have to rtn next wk to install the rest. (Some of the transition pieces weren't exactly in the right place.)"
Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts
In Washington, a flooring project’s timeline depends on the room’s size, subfloor repairs, and the type of flooring selected. Simple carpet or laminate installations in smaller spaces may finish in one visit, while hardwood flooring often requires acclimation and multiple sessions. Moisture testing, complex layouts, or weather-related humidity can also extend the process, so your flooring contractor will assess these factors before scheduling.
Helpful?
After a flooring installation in Washington, keep your warranty paperwork, installation receipts, and product details. Save before-and-after photos for insurance purposes, especially if moisture remediation was involved. Maintain care instructions and maintenance schedules specific to PA’s climate, along with any notes from your flooring contractor about subfloor repairs or moisture testing. These records help protect your investment and simplify future repairs or claims.

In Washington, knowing your home’s construction year, foundation type, and subfloor condition is essential for flooring installation planning. Homes in this area often have unique layouts or older basements, so checking for previous water issues, insulation quality, and the number of existing flooring layers helps your flooring contractor recommend the best materials and installation methods for long-term durability and comfort.
Helpful?
Flooring work in Washington addresses issues like uneven surfaces from settling, moisture damage in basements, and outdated flooring that’s hard to clean or maintain. Many homes here also face cold floors in winter or pet-related wear. Upgrading your flooring improves insulation, reduces allergens, and creates a safer, more attractive environment—especially important in older homes with high foot traffic or unique layouts.
Helpful?
In Washington, cosmetic flooring projects focus on updating colors, finishes, or patterns to match your décor, typically with minimal disruption. Functional projects, however, may involve subfloor repairs, installing moisture barriers, or improving insulation for warmth and durability. If your flooring contractor identifies structural or moisture issues, expect a more involved process to ensure your new flooring lasts and performs well.
