I explained to him that my cellar has floode due the problems and was anxious to get the repairs done. Justin quoted a price that was fair and much lower then any other estimates. "We hired this contractor almost a year ago to do various projects. The work was supposed to be finished in 10 days according to the contract. We are here almost a year later and there is still work that is unfinished. I paid Martin before all of the work was completed, and I can’t get ahold of him to finish the work now. The pipe still hasn’t been cut, and there is still a huge piece of concrete in our side yard. I’m not sure what to do now."

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

Not all gas fireplaces need a chimney. If you install a ventless gas fireplace, it will release low levels of combustion byproducts back into your living space (instead of pushing them outside through a chimney or vent). Ventless fireplaces burn fuel efficiently, so the emissions are minimal—but they could bother people with allergies or respiratory issues.

It costs anywhere from $125 to $2,000 to convert an electric stove to gas because it all depends on the current setup of your kitchen. For example, if you already have a gas line behind your stove, you could pay as little as $125 to have a plumber hook up your new range. Running a new gas line, however, costs between $260 and $820. If you don’t have gas service at all, you’ll spend around $2,000 to set it up.
