"I had a new roof and gutter system installed. They were very kind from start to finish. Explained everything I needed to know. A garbage bin was placed on a Monday and they were completely finished on Wednesday. It looks really good and has a 50 year warranty. Even my neighbors said they were impressed with how they kept my property and everything clean. I think it’s beautiful looking. Thank you to Kerry and Tom. Yes I would definitely refer this company."

"Wonderful experience! I'm thrilled with the quality of products and workmanship. I was hoping for a new storm and interior door only. Because of their financing options, I was also able to get 3 new windows upstairs and a beautiful new bow window in my living room (a window I thought I'd never be able to afford!). I no longer need towels to block the drafty windows nor "draft-dodgers" at my door. As a "Golden Girl", I'm a tough sell, because I can't afford to treat myself to better quality items. However, I now realize that what I thought was a "good" window installed about 10 years ago is actually junk, after comparing the quality of the products. While watching the various snow storms during the past few weeks, I wondered why I was hearing the wind blowing in my living room. It didn't take long to realize that the sounds were come through the "good" windows at the side of my house that were NOT installed by Green Eco. I went outside and looked at the "good" window, after seeing the outside of the new windows that were installed upstairs by Green Eco. YUCK! What a difference! Everything I was told by the salesperson is true. Seeing and learning about the sample products I was shown made me a believer that their products are definitely worth the expense. All of their products have a Lifetime Guarantee, so I know they'll be just as perfect long after I'm gone! My upstairs bedroom is warmer now than it ever was. I'm truly amazed at the difference. My 6-panel bow window was installed on 12/16/20 - the day we were expecting a snowstorm. The installers refused to let that stop them, and they drove away in dark blizzard conditions, as I stared out my beautiful window with tears in my eyes. I never thought I'd live long enough to ever afford to have that window replaced (before it fell out!). The crew was so professional and hard-working, I even made them lunch! The craftsmanship of the carpentry is excellent. I've even decided to use a clearcoat on the woodwork, instead of the usual white paint around the window. It looks amazing! My interior door is white on the inside, but those who see my house are welcomed by a beautiful country blue door on the outside, along with my new high quality storm door. The "Rain" design of the glass in the door is mesmerizing in the sunlight. As the most honest person some people might ever care to meet, you can trust me. Green Eco's products might seem a bit pricey compared to others you might contact, but the difference in the end result is well worth it. Yes, I have a monthly payment plan, buy this bill I can pay with a smile. The total cost of my happiness is about half of what I was quoted for only a "good" bow window within the last 15 years. Now I have what I believe is perfection. Thank You! Green Eco Solutions tickled this lady's heart!"

Garden windows bring more light into the room than a flat window, and if you choose one that will open, it can provide more fresh air as well. Even if it's a small window the extra light and source of air can be refreshing. You can create more shelf space in the window area for the room with a garden window.
If you’re looking to add value to your home by doing some remodeling, vinyl siding pays off. Adding new siding to your home was at the top of the list of projects with good returns on investment. While updating the siding on your home might not seem as glamorous as other remodeling projects like a new kitchen, the benefits of vinyl siding make the investment well worth it. Whether you are planning to sell your house or just want a little change, installing vinyl siding can bring about many be

"I first contacted AJ Window and Door Solutions around the first week of March I believe. Derrick came out to the house and gave a very informative presentation. We were originally going to just have the siding replaced, but wanted to get a price for the windows and roof as well for the future. We decided to have everything done at once. We expected to possibly have everything done by the end April, but these folks had everything done by the end of March. The roof was started on Friday AM and done by 1 PM. Monday, James and the guys were there to start on the windows and siding. If it wasn't for the weather, these guys would have been done by Wed. It was amazing. I had vacation planned the first week of April so I could put a new front door and side door in myself, but these guys were so fast. Thank you James and your crew for helping me get those doors in as not to hold you up. Thanks to Eve (sorry about the color change on the siding and all my calls), Tom, Derrick, James, and the roofing crew (sorry I can't remember their names). I went in to this thinking it was going to be a painful process, but ended up being the complete opposite. When I'm ready for that garage, I'm only going to make one phone call. AJ Window and Door Solutions. A++++ Thank you again. The house is beautiful!!!"

Siding questions, answered by experts

Yes, mixing siding types will affect your home value, and in most cases, it will improve curb appeal and add to the value of your home. This is especially true if you get the benefit of the high-end appearance of brick or stone siding but save on siding costs by covering most of the exterior with more affordable vinyl or fiber cement.

You should plan to stain or refinish your home's cedar siding every three to seven years to maintain its appearance and provide maximum protection, though some estimates suggest a range of four to six years. The exact frequency depends on several factors, including your local climate, exposure to severe weather like direct sunlight, rain, and wind, the quality of the initial stain application, the type of stain used, and the overall condition and quality of the wood.

For homes in harsh climates with high humidity and significant sun exposure, you should plan on staining as often as every three years, while those in milder locations may only need to do so every seven years. For the longest-lasting protection in particularly harsh climates, consider using an opaque stain.

If you are looking for a lower-maintenance alternative, you might consider vinyl or aluminum siding. While the initial installation cost can be higher, they do not require as much upkeep and can offer more value over time, especially in areas with excessive rainfall or high humidity.

Fiber cement shingle siding is made from a blend of common ingredients, including cement, sand, water, and wood or cellulose fibers. The composition of the mixture varies depending on the manufacturer, however, with some makers opting to include special additives to improve longevity and resilience, and some include dyes and pigments to create custom colors that don’t require painting.

Stucco is considered a type of cladding because it includes a built-in ventilation layer, a weatherproof membrane beneath that, and, often, a layer of insulation to improve building efficiency. The multiple layers of stucco—the scratch coat, the brown coat, and the finish coat—also create a more complex building membrane, so it’s more accurate to call it cladding. However, homeowners and contractors alike refer to stucco as siding.

Many modern homes have soffits, but older ones don’t, and you may be wondering why. Older homes have eaves that extend further beyond the home and help to circulate air, negating the need for a soffit. This style of building has faded away, therefore, modern homes need separate soffit installation. Modern soffits are more efficient than this older style and require less material to construct, saving homeowners money.
