"Outstanding company. Excellent work ethic, arrive on time and donâ t leave until the work is finished. Always cleaned up at the end of each day. We had a collapsing 53â block wall, with danger of the roof collapsing. Flatland came in and built a temporary wall which supported our roof even we when we had 22 inches of snow one week and 3 inches of rain the next week. The wall held. Then they came in, reconstructed a new wall, finished the outside siding, and itâ s beautiful! This crew was amazing and the guys were wonderful! I canâ t recommend them enough!"

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"We searched around and contacted 3 different providers, looking for replacement windows and doors for our cabin in the Poconos. We felt that AJ Window and Doors provided the best solution for our request. We had 4 specialty windows replaced in the cathedral wall, added 2 thin windows, one on each side of the fireplace, both old and leaky French doors to the deck replaced and all sliders replaced. What a great decision. The work was done quickly and efficiently and they cleaned up spotlessly when done. The windows are super, we go up to the cabin and it can be 90 degrees outside, we walk in the house and it’s about 72. We don’t have air-conditioning it’s just the efficiency of the windows. The tint is barely noticeable but extremely effective. We were so impressed with the quality and the service we reached out to them and asked if they would come down to our full time house and give us an estimate on windows. Yup. The price was really good so we had them do the windows too. We now have brand new windows and very old siding. Well, we did, we reached out to them a third time and got a quote on siding, accepted it and they did that too. Let me tell you about this siding; it has a foam backing and is extremely thick, you can lean on it and it doesn’t waver, you can look down the side of the house and you do not see the standard “rippling” that you normally see with vinyl siding. The house looks great, people comment on it all the time. All three estimates, and the work was done by the same sales rep and work crew. Derek W. did a great job explaining the windows and siding, James led the work crews and made sure the work was done properly and the crew cleaned up when finished. This is a great company for windows and doors and are highly recommended."

Siding questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, the thicker the siding, the higher the quality. Thicker siding provides a stronger resistance against extreme weather conditions. Thicker siding also tends to fade more slowly under the sun. Hardie boards, a popular fiber cement siding option, is usually 5/16 inches thick. Meanwhile, masonry-finished cement siding varies from 5/8 to 5/8 inches thick.

Hardie board is more expensive than vinyl siding. Vinyl siding costs $3 to $12 per square foot, on average, with cost skewing toward the lower end of that range. Hardie board siding costs $7 to $18 per square foot, depending on the style, color, and trim. However, it lasts twice as long and often looks nicer, meaning you’ll see a higher bump in your home value and greater curb appeal from Hardie board.

Yes, new stucco siding can increase your home's value and curb appeal, similar to other new siding materials. Homeowners can expect an average return on investment (ROI) of around 70%. For an average stucco installation costing $5,700, this can translate to a value increase of nearly $4,000. The value can be further enhanced by choosing high-end textures or simulating more expensive materials like brick. Stucco is also a durable, fire-resistant, and versatile material that can last 50 years or more, making it an attractive feature for potential buyers, especially in hotter climates where its insulating properties are beneficial.

Typically 1-2 days, depending on damage extent and panel availability.

Vinyl, brick veneer, stucco, steel, stone veneer, and composite siding are popular alternatives to wood siding. Which siding material is best for your home boils down to your budget, aesthetics, lifestyle, and climate. For example, stone veneer offers a timeless charm and is low maintenance but may have too high of a price tag. Meanwhile, some homeowners love vinyl siding for its low cost, while others dislike it for its appearance and shorter life span.
