Any wall or ceiling that is in need of plaster.Big or small we do it all.Cracks, holes, additions, new construction, resurface. We also do exterior EIFS systems. Anthony Traeger (Owner of Traeger Plastering) has been in the plastering business since 1992. He believes that the key to a happy customer is to treat each job as if it's his own. This attitude leads to the highest quality work with affordable prices and the cleanest job possible.

"They say you can get 2 out of 3 but you can't get 3 of 3. You can get fast and cheap but you can't get good. You can get good and fast but you can't get cheap. You can get cheap and good but you can't get fast. These guys did a great job, took them I think 7 days total for a fair price. Tony recommended skip trowel. Said I'm not sure man. Took me into his house to show me and I was sold. Said make my house half as good as this and I'll be satisfied. He came in with Justin and Jeff and just knocked it out. Professionals. If I was in the house flipping business I would have these guys on speed dial."

Family run LLC specializing in drywall and painting, but also do remodeling services. While my business is new, I have been in the carpentry industry for 6 years! I have experience in foundation cracks, water damage, and identifying the cause of the damage. Our services are very affordable, and the quotes are always free.

"Everything turned out great. Z&S repaired a couple sections of drywall in our home last year after a roof leak and the repaired sections still look great."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

The average life span for drywall is between 40 and 60 years, although panels can last significantly longer in many cases if it’s well-maintained. Of course, many things can reduce the life span of your drywall, including fire, smoke damage, water, moisture, and physical damage, like dents and holes. Thankfully, you’re likely to get around 50 years of value out of professionally-installed drywall, making the $2,000 you’ll spend on the job well worth it in the long run.

A jigsaw is commonly used to cut holes in drywall. It offers versatility and precision, making it suitable for creating circular or irregular openings. When equipped with the right blade, a jigsaw can swiftly and cleanly cut through drywall, making it a good choice for DIY projects.

Drywall can get wet and dry out without sustaining permanent damage, but only if the water damage is minor. If you have a small leak and are quick to correct the issue and set up blower fans and dehumidifiers, your drywall should dry out. If the leak is persistent, the drywall becomes totally waterlogged, or mold begins forming on the drywall, you should remove and replace it.

Yes, 1/2-inch thick drywall is commonly used for ceilings in residential construction. It provides adequate support and is easier to handle and install compared to thicker drywall sheets. Thicker drywall, such as 5/8-inch, is typically used for ceilings in commercial buildings or areas requiring additional fire resistance or soundproofing. However, for most standard residential applications, 1/2-inch drywall is sufficient and widely accepted.

While every home has its own unique needs, ceiling drywall installation typically follows a staggered or stepped pattern to enhance structural integrity and reduce the visibility of seams. Starting from one corner, sheets are placed perpendicular to the ceiling joists, with the ends of adjacent sheets meeting along the center of the joist. The next row begins with a half sheet, ensuring joints don't align vertically. This alternating pattern, combined with proper taping and mudding, creates a seamless appearance and strengthens the ceiling structure, minimizing the risk of cracks over time.
