"When Martin showed up on time to provide an estimate for the Drywall, I knew Martin would be a good fit for the project. The estimate was reasonable, and his work ethic is excellent. He works hard, and did professional work and completed the project in a reasonable amount of time. Would highly recommend him for drywall projects."

"Mike was professional and quick to reply to any correspondence. After we scheduled my project he actually was able to move the day up. The crew that did the work was friendly, the forman (Chris) gave me frequent updates on their progress and what still needed to be done. They finished the job quickly and cleaned up nicely when they were done (they even got rid of some junk they found under the porch when replacing it). Excellent service and would recommend their services!"

"Mike did a fabulous job installing a door and quarter round in our home office. I was having trouble finding the right size door for them room and he was able to find one that would work. He even picked it up for us since we didn't have q vehicle that would work. I would and plan to hire him again."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Technically speaking, you can use drywall primer over plasters. However, oil-based primers work the most effectively on wall plasters. Meanwhile, water-based primers work just as well with drywalls. Nowadays, there are also universal primers suitable for drywall and plaster. Overall, you will be fine as long as you are using a trustworthy brand.

You’ll get better results if you soundproof the whole wall. A hole through which light can pass can also let sound waves in. Acoustical or silicone sealant applied to holes and cracks can block enough sound to make a difference. However, the more layers absorb vibrations and slow or stop sound waves, the less noise you’ll have.

Plaster provides a durable, soundproof, and moisture-resistant finish compared to drywall.

The cost to install drywall is between $1.50 and $3 per square foot, while shiplap installation costs between $2 and $7 on average. In most applications, shiplap installations cost more than that of putting in drywall. However, several ways exist to reduce shiplap prices, especially for small locations or accent walls, which can keep the total cost of shiplap competitive with that of drywall.

Deciding whether to repair or replace drywall can be tricky, but your top considerations should be the extent of the damage and what caused the damage. For instance, if you need to repair a small hole caused by a doorknob that hit the wall, you can safely patch it without a second thought. However, if you have significant drywall damage caused by water damage, it’s best to thoroughly remove the drywall to inspect and repair the pipes behind it before replacing it.
