Solid Rock Drywall and Painting

Hired him to do framing and drywall. Not sure if he bought his good reviews or what but this guys work was one of the worst I?ve seen. It?s like he had no clue how to do framing work. After he got some of the initial framing up, I had to fire him for the terrible job. So many mistakes, too many to list. I got half of my deposit back when I should have been given everything back. He wasted so much wood and supplies and now I?m out $$ and still had to hire someone else to redo and tear down everything he?s done. I?d stay away and would not recommend this guy at all.

Recommend to ANYONE

We had a great experience with Jim and Solid Rock Drywall. The project was done on time and with great detail. Jim was excellent with communicating with us throughout the project and keeping us updated on progress. Would highly recommend this company. We will be using Jim for future projects.

It's not that hard to hang drywall and lots of companies can do it. What's hard is getting the corners razor sharp, the walls "pool table top" smooth and making the transitions (which every job has) look natural and blended in. Jim did an amazing job on our basement remodel which had some challenging transitions, e.g., steel beams that needed covering, many ducts that needed custom drywall work arounds, stair that were uneven elevations, etc. Simply put, Jim did an amazing job; he was on time, on budget and invested the time to talk about how I wanted certain trouble spots finished. A real joy to work with and a real professional!

I highly recommend Jim and Solid Rock drywall! Only five minutes after I used home advisor to find professionals, Jim reached out to me and booked an estimate for the very next day! He was able to start within two weeks of the estimate, and finish my entire game room in one week. During the project to take down the paneling and put up the drywall, it was discovered that my drop ceiling will need replaced. Jim gave me a good price and will return to do that work as well. He was very professional, got right to work each day, cleaned up, and did beautiful work. I highly recommend!!!

Jim (and his team) was very professional from beginning to end. Showed up on time always, very polite, and most importantly, provided a fair recommendation to solve the several areas of the project. Jim and Rob did an amazing job. They always provided an update at the end of the day, which is nice because it gives you an idea of how things are going and his level of commitment. They showed willingness to anwswer any question as the project was taking place. They are also dog lovers and my dog was getting used to welcome them every morning! Without a doubt I will hire Jim again. Highly recommended!

Jim and Rob were very professional! I have already provided his contact information to others who are looking for drywall/plaster work. Both Jim and Rob have great communication and were always on time. They worked around my schedule as I had installed new recessed lighting while they exposed the joists and sheeted the ceiling the following day. The team also provided the required floor materials and cleaned up every day once they were complete with the day's work. I will hire Solid Rock Drywall for my second floor ceilings whenever the time comes.
