"This company cares. They put people above profit. I was in a bad situation, after a nasty winter my roof seemed to be disintegrating before my eyes. It went really fast. Then Daryl stepped up to help me out of a difficult situation. Within hours they expedited the crew, and Walter and Lauren ordered materials and made my roof a priority. Now with three days of rain coming I know my house is protected and it looks gorgeous."

"We were very pleased with the overall experience—the issue was assessed quickly and accurately and the plumber, Jake, was friendly, professional, and happy to explain things along the way as well as answer any questions. The only drawback was cost (to be expected, I suppose) and the fact that they don’t do drywall repair following the job (which we were told ahead of time but is still a little disappointing)."

"I am an energy auditor and general contractor. I specialize in building science, energy efficiency and performance-based contracting. I recently needed an insulator to finish a project when my regular insulator could not.... I was in a pinch on schedule. American Insulation contacted me and within minutes I had my problem solved. We agreed on price and within 48 hours my project was complete. During the installtion process I found the owner and his crew courteous and professional. Thank you American Insulation, you have earned my business."

"I highly commend this company. Unfortunately I could not have them do the job. He came out, on time, to give me estimate on insulation. He was very honest with me! To do this Job would have required me to have additional projectsâ replace aluminum siding, and holes would be in paneling which was wallpapered over. I am recently widowed and will probably be downsizing in few years. Rather than spending money and doing other projects, decided not to do it. Most companies would have said â oh yes, we can do thisâ and them made a mess! Itâ s nice to know there are still decent, honest companies around."

"Zach stopped by shortly after I called to measure and gave me an estimate quickly. I acquired several other estimates and Zachs price was competitive (about in the middle).  I informed Zach that I was interested in his services and the date I wanted to start. Zach and his crew (Him 2 other roofers and a laborer) actually got started a little early and it happened to be on one of the days it was close to 100 degrees. Even in that heat they worked promptly and professionally so I bought them a case of water and had it on ice for them to drink plus my daughter offered freeze pops occasionally and they greatly appreciated it. Once they removed the top half of the shingles and sheathing they laid tow boards for the Mold company to be able to remove all the old insulation and do their work. At night because my house was fully vulnerable to the elements of nature (rain) Zach covered my house with a brand new Tarp big enough to cover everything to ensure no water if it did rain would enter and do damage. Zach and his crew had to wait until all the mold remediation process was done and then removed the rest of the shingles and sheathing. Then they installed all new sheathing (3/4 OSB), shingles(Owens Corning Duration Dimensional Shingles) gutters, downspouts, drip edge, and new aluminum covered fascia boards and covered Gable trim with aluminum then at  the end installed new Ridge Vent (Owens Corning Vent Sure Ridge Vent). When the job was completed they cleaned up very nicely.
I was very impressed how Zach and his crew was able to work with the other contractors, work in extreme temperatures, and clean up very nicely. I would definitely recommend "Always Perfect Contracting" and actually will have Zach coming back to my house for another job very soon."

"Overall, the team at Exceptional Exteriors were wonderful to work with, and I'm happy with the result.  A few specific things that I appreciated:
- Roman was able to come out and give me an estimate the same day that I contacted him.
- He worked with my budget and expectations, giving me options that would keep my costs where I needed them to be.
- The work on my roof was scheduled quickly (as it was the off-season), but was delayed because of weather on several occasions.  The office team at Exceptional Exteriors kept me updated regularly and were never difficult to reach by phone.
- They provide options for financing and connect you directly with lenders who will be able to best serve you.  (I was connected with a 12 month 0% interest line of credit at Dollar Bank, which was a very simple process.)  If you use their lenders, they are also very accommodating about the timing of the payment and doing the work.  (They had an opening to schedule the work before the financing was complete, but were able to confirm my eligibility for the line of credit and went ahead with the work.)
My ONLY complaint was a small oversight on the part of the office team at Exceptional Exteriors.  While they did such a great job keeping me updated when the work was delayed, the actual day that the workers did arrive, I had no advance notice.  I woke up to see a gentleman on a ladder right outside my bedroom window.  I have a sense of humor and it made for a funny story at work that day, but I would have preferred the opportunity to ensure my curtains were closed.

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

If you plan on heating your garage, you must install a vapor barrier when drywalling the garage. A vapor barrier protects your garage from frost and mold that can occur through condensation. If your garage is unheated, you don't need to install a vapor barrier. The only exception is if you regularly crank the heat in your car before getting in it. In this case, you may still want to install a vapor barrier, as your car can heat your garage.

Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor depends on its type, material, and how it is removed. Plastic anchors, such as expansion or self-drilling types, are generally considered single-use because they are designed to expand and are likely to break or become deformed upon removal. Metal anchors, like toggle bolts, are more durable and can often be reused if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle mechanism can fall inside the wall when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged or must be cut for removal, it cannot be reused regardless of its material.

Cracks, holes, water damage, and dents from heavy equipment often require repair.

This depends on how much plaster is applied and in how many layers, but a decent estimate is around 150 square feet. If you are applying only two coats on a small wall, there is a chance you may only need one or two gallons for the entire project. If you are plastering a large living room wall with high ceilings, using one of the more involved techniques–like Scagliola–that requires several coats, expect the project materials costs to add up quickly.

Plaster is a pretty tough surface, but it can still sustain damage from things like bumping against it, water issues, dampness, extreme humidity changes, and plain old age. Most plaster walls last hundreds of years and will only be taken down to the base layer when major repairs are required. Being cautious around the wall, not placing furniture against it, and ensuring stable humidity are all great ways to reduce possible damage.
