"Jeff was extremely efficient at making my yard and stone on outside of my house look new again. My stairs leading to my front door were work and breaking apart jeff came in with a very fair price and wasted no time. My stairs look like brand new again!! He cleaned up nicely and all for a super fair price. I am very happy with Tri-state Stoneworks and will definitely be calling again next time I need some stone work or repair. A + !"

"He mostly does basements that are flooded but he was able to do backyard flooding as well. He did a good job. We did have a little argument with the County about where this drainage came out too close to the road. We had a little trouble getting that redone. I think he should have found out or maybe it was our responsibility. I think it was his responsibility to find out how close to the road we could drain this water. It could drain our water on the road and freeze and make a hazard. It took Joel a long time to come up with any solutions and we had to have somebody else fix it. He did give me 2/3 of the cost of getting it fixed. The price was reasonable. We no longer have water standing in the backyard. We have never heard a single mosquito. I thought that was going to be real issue for us here. What he did, he did well. I don't think our problems were quality issues."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

The easiest way to handle extra-wet cement is to pour it, let it harden, and then recycle it using one of the methods above. You can also crush it down and sell it for base materials, although this can be pretty time-consuming. Your best bet is to start with less concrete than you need and make more as you go to avoid this problem.

Concrete pools are very durable but can crack if not properly maintained. The most significant risk is winter weather and low temperatures when water can seep into crevices and freeze. To avoid damage, use the proper winterization chemicals, and don’t completely drain your pool. Concrete pool repairs cost around $75 per linear foot for small cracks.

For thin driveway cracks that aren’t widening or lengthening, a polyurethane crack filler is usually the best way to seal the crack and prevent further damage from water and ice. If you have cracks that are more than ⅛-inch wide or driveway cracks that continue to grow, you should call in a professional driveway repair company to fix underlying problems—like insufficient support from the soil underneath—before filling in the cracks. An epoxy sealant is a better option for wider cracks after the surface is leveled and the underlying problem is fixed.

Rebar is an essential part of reinforcing a basement floor, as not having it can impact its structural integrity. It helps absorb the tension factors that contribute to cracks in your floor and strengthens its load-bearing capabilities by evenly distributing the weight. Not including rebar could lead to an unstable floor, so don’t skip it!

Common issues include cracks, settling, and loose stones. Regular maintenance prevents significant damage.
