"THis was the best company I ever hired! I used to Stanley Steemer and it took 3 days to dry, when I used Christy's Carpet it was dry in a few hours. I was only going to do a couple of the room, he showed me every room had dirt before he shampooed. I can't believe how clean they got my carpets. I called him on Monday and my carpets were cleaned on Wednesday! The man's name was Ed, he was very personable and friendly. I felt very comfortable with him and he went out of his way to do his work I will refer him to my neighbors and relatives forever."

"Tiny Gnome saved me!. We were having a holiday party and between cooking and cleaning and work I was overwhelmed. I called her and had her come to give me an estimate. "Target Carpet Care arrived a few minutes before the two hour window they had given us. The technician, David, was very professional and knowledgeable. I declined to pay extra for deep cleaning of one room where David felt it was needed. David did a quick and thorough cleaning of the rugs. I negotiated to pay extra to also have our steps and sofa cleaned. Very happy with the service---will probably use them again next year."

Vinegar and baking soda can be effective for removing old carpet stains, although success may depend on the type of stain. There are two common methods for this process.

One method involves combining the ingredients directly on the stain to create a chemical reaction. First, pour a generous layer of dry baking soda over the stain. In a spray bottle, mix distilled white vinegar with 1 cup of warm water and a few drops of liquid dish soap, then spray this solution thoroughly over the baking soda. The mixture will foam as the acidic vinegar reacts with the basic baking soda, which helps loosen and lift the stain. Let this sit for a few hours until it dries, then wipe or vacuum up the residue and blot the area with a clean, dry towel. You can repeat the process if the stain persists.

An alternative method suggests using the ingredients separately. Start by sprinkling baking soda on the stain and letting it sit for 15 to 30 minutes before vacuuming it up. Next, blot the remaining stain with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water, and then blot the area dry with a clean cloth.

It takes 24 to 72 hours for water to evaporate out of the carpet if you use a wet vac and towels to soak up the majority of the moisture and then run blower fans and dehumidifiers to speed up the evaporation process. The total length of time for the water to evaporate out of the carpet depends on how wet the carpet is, the type of carpet, and the thickness of the carpet.
