"THis was the best company I ever hired! I used to Stanley Steemer and it took 3 days to dry, when I used Christy's Carpet it was dry in a few hours. I was only going to do a couple of the room, he showed me every room had dirt before he shampooed. I can't believe how clean they got my carpets. I called him on Monday and my carpets were cleaned on Wednesday! The man's name was Ed, he was very personable and friendly. I felt very comfortable with him and he went out of his way to do his work I will refer him to my neighbors and relatives forever."

"Rob and his helper cameon timeand got right too work... the preparation part of the job was awesome ... and so quic k. They moved all the furniture and as they did the rug, I was thrilled to see that the rug was beginning to look BRAND NEW!! Rob asked us to come look at it periodically, and we were so impressed! I am a believer!! I have never seen anyone do such a great job on a carpet... Force one is a permanent addition to our home maintenance routine!! Thank you... I will tell my friends. "Tiny Gnome saved me!. We were having a holiday party and between cooking and cleaning and work I was overwhelmed. I called her and had her come to give me an estimate. She was prompt and gave us a fair price. When she offered to stay and help me I was so happy for the help. I was at work and came home to a clean guest bath, cleaned hardwood floors and a dust free living area. What a God send. I can’t wait to see what the biweekly cleaning will be like. I'm thrilled and relieved find a great housekeeping service."

"Target Carpet Care arrived a few minutes before the two hour window they had given us. The technician, David, was very professional and knowledgeable. I declined to pay extra for deep cleaning of one room where David felt it was needed. David did a quick and thorough cleaning of the rugs. I negotiated to pay extra to also have our steps and sofa cleaned. Very happy with the service---will probably use them again next year."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The cost to clean an area rug is typically between $2 and $6 per square foot, meaning an 8-by-10-foot rug will cost $160 to $480 to clean. However, the final price depends on several factors. The rug's material is a primary consideration, with costs per square foot varying: Synthetic ($1–$4), Cotton ($2–$8), Sisal ($4–$7), Silk ($4–$8), Sheepskin ($4–$8), and Wool ($5–$8). Specialty rugs, like oriental rugs, can cost more, averaging $5 to $9 per square foot. Other factors influencing the price include the rug's size and condition, the cleaning method (hand washing can increase the cost to $4 to $9 per square foot), whether the service is on-site or requires pick-up, and your geographic location. A large, heavily soiled rug could cost $650 or more to clean.

Our guide can also work for old tomato stains. If you’re trying to get rid of a lingering spot from spaghetti dinners past, you can skip step one and jump directly to step two.

Pro tip: Allow soaking time for older stains. We recommend waiting at least 10 minutes between applying your cleaning solution and blotting it up.

Upholstery seems easy to clean in theory, but it gets complicated when you consider how many cleaning designations there are for different kinds of fabrics. While some couches can handle a liquid cleaner, others require foam cleaners, and some should only be cleaned with dry cleaning products to prevent damage. It’s usually best to hire a professional upholstery cleaning service to ensure your couch gets appropriately cleaned and doesn’t get damaged in the process. Professional furniture cleaning is relatively affordable and easier on the wallet than replacing a damaged couch.

Cleaning floors is a relatively easy DIY job, but paying for a professional cleaning service is worthwhile if you don’t have the time to dedicate to cleaning or if you have particularly dirty floors, deep-set stains, or wooden floors that you might damage during the cleaning process. A professional house cleaner will have the tools and experience necessary to remove dirt, pet hair, debris, and even stains and discoloration from your floors without damaging them. The service is also relatively affordable, making it a great investment if you don’t have the time or tools to do it yourself.

Hydrogen peroxide can be an effective stain remover for outdoor rugs. However, it is not recommended to use for cleaning the entire surface of the rug as it is a very strong substance. If you’re battling tough stains on an outdoor rug, you can use hydrogen peroxide diluted with some water and dish soap to treat the stained area directly.
