"Workers showed up promptly and were very professional in establishing a clean work space by putting down plastic all throughout my upstairs. The workers were great in getting the job done correctly. I had removed all of my interior walls for them to spray into the walls and they made sure if i was placing new sheetrock to scrape the insulation down to the joists. However, I did not like that the owner did not show up as he was the one that gave me the estimate and then I had to relay everything we spoke about to the workers. Also, I placed a great deal of plastic on my floors in the basement and after the workers left I had to clean up areas where foam was sprayed onto my rug. Most of it would not come off. I would have hoped better cleanup would have been done. In the end, the two workers did work very efficiently together and completed the job to my utmost satisfaction. "
"We are extremely satisfied with the whole process of our house being insulated. First we had the walls done, and then a couple weeks later we had our attic insulated. The crew were so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. We are very satisfied with everything. Thank you, everyone."
"Joe and jason were very professional and made sure to clean everything perfectly while doing my attic insulation, I will be recommending them to everyone!"

"I had a problem with my crawlspace. The house had wood damage and needed a new sump pump. Jimmy gave me an estimate in a timely manner and explained everything that had to be done. He was honest, reasonable, and felt very comfortable with him to do the job. He was very knowledgeable about crawlspace repair and so glad we called him. He made all repairs using pressure treated lumber, scrape sprayed foam insulation along the damage floor joists, and repaired some floor joists. When he was done, he sent me a before and after pictures to show that he did the work. He also took my brother to the crawlspace and showed him everything that was done. If you are looking for crawlspace repair, please give Crawlspace Services NEPA a call! Thank you Jimmy Castro !! You did a great job!!"

Exposed ductwork can sweat just like ductwork placed behind walls, sometimes even more so. Ductwork sweats—like a cold drink on a hot day—because of a temperature imbalance between the air in the duct and the air in the room. In a crawl space or wall, this temperature can equalize faster due to the small space but in lofts and open rooms, that wouldn’t happen as quickly. Many people insulate their ducts for this reason.
When installing metal siding, a high-quality house wrap is considered the best protection against condensation and moisture infiltration. House wraps can increase a home's efficiency significantly. However, a house wrap is not a replacement for a vapor barrier because it can be permeable when moist air passes through siding. This is why it's essential to follow manufacturer instructions for insulating siding when installing new siding.
Garage door insulation can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years depending on the type of insulation. Cellulose has the shortest lifespan coming in at between 20 and 30 years, while spray foam, mineral wool, and fiberglass can last between 80 and 100 years with proper maintenance.
Humidity plays a role in how long more susceptible insulation materials—like fiberglass—last. Once fiberglass batts reach the 15-year mark, you'll need to routinely inspect your insulation to ensure that it is in mint order.
The heat loss through a poorly insulated attic when you’re running your furnace or heat pump during cold weather can be as high as 25%. This means you could see significantly higher energy costs to make up for this heat loss. The cost of adding insulation to the attic may eventually pay for itself through lower energy bills. If you decide to add a radiant barrier too, the radiant barrier cost may also pay for itself over time.
To keep cold out, look for treatments that sit close to the window frame and are made from thick, insulating materials. Thermal curtains, cellular shades, window quilts, and insulated shutters can all help retain heat. Layering window treatments, like pairing lined curtains with cellular shades, can provide even better insulation by further reducing drafts and heat transfer.
