Trust in us as your local plumbing and heating specialist for everything from a leaky faucet to embarking on a bath or kitchen remodeling project. With personal care and dedication to perfection we look forward to partnering with you and helping you enjoy the comfort of your home.

"Plumber came as promised and was able to fix the problem that afternoon. We needed a new expeller and he gave us the price for both models that would fit our system. He was courteous and work area was left cleaner then what it was when he found it. He also pointed out an electrical issue that he was unable to fix, but that we would want to have our electrician take care of sooner rather than later."

Rome Bath Remodeling is a privately owned and operated bathroom remodeling company based in PA. We offer tub to shower conversions, shower and tub updates, walk-in tubs, and full bathroom updates. (570) 283-3005. 800-755-7663. Additional DBA - Rome Enterprises Inc, Rome Bath Remodeling

"The two gentlemen that showed up the few days to complete the project were incredible. They were very pleasant to deal with and even made an effort to keep the noise level down as much as they could, given we had a newborn in the house at the time. They brought me in at each phase to keep me updated as to how things were going and if they had any questions/concerns. They were also well-versed in keeping the resulting mess from demo and such to a minimal, which is saying something, given the bathroom was on my 2nd floor and they essentially had to walk the length of the house twice, between the 1st and 2nd floors to get to/from. The end result was nothing short of incredible. My only regret is that I must not have been clear enough with the guy who came out to give the estimate, take photos, and such, as my old wall sconces and mirror remain...and it would've been a nicety to have an overhead light in the new shower. Aside from that, I would say that while the end result is quite nice, the cost was much higher than anticipated. It was over $20k for the bathroom job, for an area roughly 5'x10' and granted the fixtures and countertop are very nice, it's still surprising. I base that on the fact that our kitchen was also remodeled around the same time. That is a space of around 12'x20' and we had all new plumbing, new cabinets, new flooring, and new lighting placed....at a cost just over $10k. So, just be prepared. Kitchens and bathrooms are the most expensive as is the common knowledge, but I was expecting the costs for my reno jobs to be swapped. I can still solidly recommend Rebath. Just be prepared for a potentially larger bill than you're expecting."

Tristan Mayer Home Improvement specializes in custom bathroom, kitchen remodeling. All work is performed by me Tristan Mayer - the owner, who was born and raised in Yardley, PA. I decided to start my own company to provide customers with both trust and quality. I have been well known for my eye to detail and am meticulous in my work because I believe that customers should get exactly what they want when it comes to their home. I take pride in my work and treat each home as if it were my own. I stand behind all of my work and guarantee you will never have to search for a contractor again.

"Wow! From day one of this 3 week project we were impressed. He makes sure to protect everything with dropcloths and mats. During demo he found issues that the builder did with our 40+ year old townhouse and corrected them. The drywall and painting was amazing. His attention to detail and recommendations were spot on. The tile work...absolutely jaw dropping. He is so professional and punctual. There was not a day where he did not stay past 5 which was fine by us. We are absolutely satisfied with his work."

"We wanted a bath remodel but as we have only one full bath we were seeking to have it done while we were away in Australia from November 16 . 2022 through December 1, 2022. My wife works from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. as an Oncology nurse at a local hospital and needs a daily shower and sleeps in the house during the day so we did not want noisy construction going on during the day. We were very clear we needed the job done while we were gone. We got a text with a photo showing the demolition of the walls and removal of the tub/ shower sheet rock and vanity on November 22, 2022. We we arrived home on December 1, 2022 there wasn't any more work done and wee had no bath to use. We called the contractor who said he had so many other jobs and couldn't get a crew out and that he never said this was going to be finished by December 1, 2022. On November 23, 2022, the contractor locked himself out of the house although we gave him a key and he had to call locksmith to re-enter. The sheet rock was also put up but when we returned on December 1, 2022 we did not have a toilet, shower or sink. We called the contractor and over the next several days there was tile work done on the floor and in the shower. We noticed the shower had gaps in the tile was uneven and sunken in places, there were gaps in places and the edge was crooked where the shower met the drywall. The tile on the floor was uneven with sharp ridges that scraped your feet. We conferenced these issues with the contractor who at first said it was because the tiles he provided were of poor quality and that the manufacturer was to blame, then he said well, we choose that tile. After much discussion he agreed to remove all the tile and replace the tile with smaller tiles with beveled edges, he also indicated he fired the tile installer who did our work. he said he would remove and reinstall the tile and have the job completely redone in 6 days. We did not hear from him for two days Two days later he came in with some workmen and said he would not replace the tile but he was going to attempt to repair it because it was to much of a job to remove and reinstall the tile as he had promised. Things broke down and I told him that was unacceptable and if he was not going to do what he said he should stop the work and i would hire someone else. I demanded my money back and he refused. He left and we have not spoken since. I am without a working bathroom and have to go to the local gym to take a shower as does my wife."

Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts

The reglazed tub won’t last as long as a brand-new bathtub. Professional reglazing jobs can only last up to 15 years.

According to most pros, you can only reglaze a tub once or twice. So, if you’ve already reglazed your tub once, it might not be a realistic solution.

Some chemicals used in reglazing a bathtub can be dangerous to your health. If you’re DIYing the project, ensure the room is ventilated, and always wear a mask. If you hire a contractor, make sure you get the clearance to use the bathroom again.

Refinished bathtubs typically need to be refinished every five years or so. Frequent cleaning and use will break down the finish and make cracks and chips appear more readily. Cracks and chips tend to grow once they begin unless they are repaired immediately. Ideally, you should refinish your bathtub before it gets old enough that refinishing isn’t worth the hassle.

You can use other ways to seal the space where your tub and the bathroom tile meet. Using sealant tape, epoxy sealer, and spray foam can be just as effective as caulking your bathtub. When using alternatives to caulk, the one that is best for you depends on your preferences.

Sealant tape takes less time and effort to use, which is why some homeowners prefer it. Meanwhile, epoxy sealer creates a smooth and glossy finish that can complement your bathroom. Lastly, spray foam is waterproof and can act as insulation for your tub.

Yes, you can use a dremel tool to cut plexiglass. Follow the instructions under “How to Cut Plexiglass with a Saw,” and use a dremel tool with a 561 bit instead of a saw.

If your bathtub is in overall good shape with minor scratches, discoloration, or just general wear and tear, it's best (and less expensive) to refinish it.

If your tub has large cracks, is leaking, or is otherwise severely damaged, we recommend replacing it with a new bathtub. Refinishing a bathtub can only fix superficial problems, so these issues will still be present or reappear after a refinishing.
