"October 2013 was the second time I had Dan from American Drain Cleaning & Plumbing do work at my house.  The first job a couple years ago was to replace the shutoff valve on the line to the outside hose bibb.  The second time (October 2013) was for the 3 jobs listed above.  Both times the work was done professionally and in a timely manner.  Both valve replacements were done with higher quality parts than the builder had used.  After the initial installation, the shower needed adjusting to run hotter and getting that done took a single phone call, and it was done the next day.  So I would say American Drain is responsive to calls after the primary job is done.  The cost for the 3 jobs in October 2013 included the hardware & labor. Based on experiences I have had with other plumbing companies in the area, American Drain Cleaning & Plumbing is more reasonable.  I would recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

"It was okay the first time. The gentleman came out and fixed my kitchen sink. The job cost $150 which was pricey but I needed it fixed. A week later the leak came back because the plumber admitted he forgot to do a step while fixing it."

"When my family started to prepare Thanks Giving dinner in the morning, we realized the kitchen sink drain was clogged. After several attempts to unclog it on our own, we decided to call in a plumber, fulling expecting not being able to get one for this type of call on Thanks Giving day. I went on Angies list and saw FABRIZIO'S SUPER ROOTER was at the top of the list with the most positive reviews. I called Gregg Fabrizio and he said he would be right over. We realized he lived in the same town as us. He came over and within 45 minutes cleared the drain. He said it had built up debris through the years and finally closed up, similar to an artery. Anyway, he save our plans to make dinner for our 24 guest soon to arrive. Quick, thorough, reasonable, clean and accommodating. Great job. Nice guy.

"called and got appointment for next day. My bathtub was draining very slow taking 15 minutes to clear and my kitchen sink also backed up after running 30 seconds or less. The Frusco guys arrived on time and after examining the bath drains and under my kitchen sink determined that the vent pipe was clogged up causing the drain system to get no air. Antonio and Larry quickly unclogged the vent and everything drained very rapidly. Had this problem off and on for 2 years but this was first time the problem was correctly fixed. Thank to Larry and Antonio....."

"Great Company! Had several other quotes but BathMax provided the best quote. Everyone that I dealt with was very professional. The finished job looks terrific. There's a reason why they have stellar reviews and no BBB complaints! If you are considering redoing your bathroom or have a tub/shower remodel, do yourself a favor and contact them for a quote. More than likely, you'll find yourself amazed at the experience and be writing a review on them like me."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Different plumbing problems can cause your P-trap to leak. The biggest problems are loose nuts and misaligned pipes. Over time, your P-trap can leak due to the rush of water moving through the pipes, which in turn loosens the nuts and causes the pipes to fall out of alignment. Other problems include worn rubber O-rings and cracked pipes.

The best material to use will depend on your budget and style goals. Fireclay is a great choice but is expensive and heavy. Stainless steel is less expensive and more durable, but lacks the wow factor a clay sink might. Copper is very expensive but lasts a long time and has a striking appearance. Those looking for an industrial look can go with concrete, or those looking for a classic design might choose porcelain.

For safety when installing a vanity, attaching the vanity to the wall is ideal to prevent it from moving. Typically, sinks must be 4 inches away from bathtubs. Also, most states require that you have 21 inches in front of a sink, but the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) recommends 30 inches for more comfort.

Touchless faucets are reliable. However, proper maintenance is necessary to keep them running flawlessly. Keep the nozzle area and sensor clean to promote the best functionality. Additionally, consider where the touchless faucet you choose gets its power. Battery-operated models will need regular battery replacements to ensure reliability, and the touchless function won't work in a hardwired version during a power outage.

Yes, you can use flexible pipe for a sink drain. Flexible pipes can make it easier to fit sink plumbing together with less measuring and fewer cuts. However, corrugated flexible pipe can trap hair, grease, and food particles in the folds and cause foul odors and eventually build up enough to clog the drain. Smooth pipes are recommended for sink drains and plumbing.
