Usually, weekly mowings during the growing season are sufficient. However, you’ll need to consider your location and lawn care—grass that incurs more rain or fertilizer tends to grow faster than those in drier climates. Another thing to contemplate is mowing your grass to the correct height . Most grasses should stay around 2 to 3 inches, although several warm-weather grasses do better shorter—at 1 ½ to 2 inches.
