We started our business in 2004 while David was working with his brother-in-law (Tim) helping in his landscape business. During the first year, Dave continued working both jobs and Clean and Green started to grow little by little. Today (Winter 2012), Dave works the business along with Kathy and two full-time employees. Our eldest 2 sons help out during the Summer months. We have developed many good customer relations and friendships during the last few years. We are thankful for God's provision for us and for each of our valued customers. We are listed with the Better Business Bureau and currently have an A+ rating. From time to time we also get reviews posted to Angie's List. You are welcome to review or add to these ratings at any time. We are licensed for Landscape Maintenance. This means we can do almost any yard care tasks with the exception of those tasks that are considered installation type work. We are allowed a certain amount of installation work per customer, per year. We focus on maintenance to keep things simple and to focus on what we feel are our strengths. Our City License is with Troutdale #(YYYY)-0503, and we also have a METRO license # 8033 which covers the Gresham-Portland area. We carry Business Liability Insurance and are Bonded as well. "We hired Portland Movers Ready yesterday to move our 12K hot tub and other furniture. Upon delivering the hot tub, the mover broke a side panel. When my husband called the owner he got upset and said it was not his fault as it was cheap plastic. The movers demanded to be paid in cash and no receipt. My husband managed to write down what happened and had the foreman sign the paper. I called from my phone and the owner picked up the phone and I told him I would obtain a quote for the repair for him to pay us back. He said ok send it to me and then we will see. He has yet to respond to our calls, text or emails. I would not recommend hiring this company as they do not provide and contract or receipt and zero liability. We will continue to pursue our claim for damage to private property."

"Overall, terrible. Communication was crap. He raised prices without a word. Quality was ****. He'd show up with a couple blowers and be gone. He built a fence, great. The gate we wanted is still a pile of ****. Terrible workmanship. He never fixed it, after several cues to do it. The grass still has moss in it, the shrub/flower beds still have moss in them. Grass mulching and seeding, non-existent. Pruning, almost never. Yard weeding, no.... What we paid for was almost never delivered, on every visit. I could give several more reasons to never hire this guy again. Go ahead, hire him based on a slippery website. It's not worth it."

Speak with a local landscaper about whether the remaining roots will interfere with your garden plans or threaten to bring the plant back to life.

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but we don’t recommend it. If the tree is short enough to easily reach the top branches, and the tree is far from power lines or structures, consider renting a chainsaw and removing it yourself. Trees that are larger than that, close to electrical lines, or close to fences, homes, sheds, or other structures should only ever be removed by professionals. Not only is the work dangerous, but you could damage structures on your property in the process.

Bleach can potentially kill some types of delicate ornamental trees, but for the most part, it will only kill the foliage it comes in contact with. Applying bleach is not an effective method of killing a tree. A better option is to use an herbicide, which is a chemical compound designed to effectively kill a tree. 

The felling notch you make before you make the final cut will determine which way the tree will fall. The cut will be in a wedge or triangle, and the tree will fall from the highest point of the triangle. You can use this, as well as the process described above, to estimate where a tree will fall. 

For small trees, tree removal should take just a couple of hours to complete. Assume that a mid-sized tree will take between four and eight hours, depending on the extent of the equipment required and the health of the tree. Remember to add up to two hours for stump removal. Larger trees could take as long as one or two working days, about eight hours each.
