Oregon Landscape

Oregon Landscape gets our highest possible rating for their professionalism, work ethic and, most importantly, the final product. From the first day we met with Mike, our expectations were exceeded in all aspects. They have always been immediately responsive and timely and always showed up every day until our project was complete. We had a complicated irrigation system that needed to be completely overhauled; massive drainage challenges; installation of a 5-foot, cascading waterfall feature; pool edge coping and concrete patio work; retaining walls with rock face masonry and drainage, landscaping lighting (including submerged lights in our water fall feature); and more that all were completed beyond our expectations. The work product is second to none. We are so very happy with the job Oregon Landscape completed for us and couldn't give a higher rating and recommendation to anyone in the Portland area who is contracting for a large landscaping project.

Don't hire them for technical retaining walls!!!! We have a 4 to 5-foot retaining wall that's holding up our backyard. The work was performed by Oregon Landscape under prior owner. When the wall was about 5 years old, we noticed some buckling. When I called the company, they told us it was outside of the 5-year warrantee and that we'd need to pay them to fix it. Over the next couple of years, it got worse. The entire wall moved about a foot out from where it was supposed to be, the soil sunk behind the wall, and the deck behind the wall started tilting. We were planning to fix it about a year ago, but paused due to COVID. When I called Oregon Landscape to request a copy of the plans, they confirmed that they had them, but they never sent them. We hired another contractor. When they pulled the blocks down, they found that OregonLandscape had filled area behind the wall with about 3 feet of river rock, which is like using tennis balls to hold a house foundation, and covered it with landscaping paper, followed by a couple feet of dirt. No wonder the whole thing was failing. A quick google seach would tell you to use an engineered gravel, which adds strength to the whole system. Now, I suspect that they kept making it hard to get information, only answered by phone instead of by email, and didn't provide the design plans to try to hide how badly they designed this wall. By the time we fix the wall and the deck, we'll probably be out about $50,000 in repairs.

We needed a retaining wall replaced of about 100 feet that backs into a wetlands area. The job took about two weeks and they did a great job. The wall looks excellent and the team did a great job of cleaning up the mess that they (understandably) made. They worked long hard days in 90 degree heat.

Outstanding! We couldn’t be happier with Oregon Landscape. They were recommended by a friend who had just finished up a project of their own with them. After getting three bids we decided to use Oregon Landscape and are now recommending them to our friends. They completed a quite intricate job that included excavation, new patio, steps, retaining walls, fire pit and a hot tub. Bottom line is that these guys are honest, very reasonable and the work is of the utmost quality. The communication throughout the project was best in class. Work was complete on time and on budget. We’ve done a fair amount of big projects and that seems to be rare with contractors. Sergio, who managed the project on a daily basis is one of the hardest working individuals we’ve ever worked with. His attention to detail is off the charts, as was our trust in him and his abilities. Mike runs design and was our main contact. He’s as honest as they come and always there to help solve challenges or answer questions. Overall, we’re not sure the project could have run smoother or turned out better. 100% satisfied and would use them again for sure.

It was good, it was fine. A lot of other companies were much higher, they were good. One guy was sufficient, and he did it within 2 or 3 hours. He was real fair about it, he did a good job. I was happy with the choice. They did some work for my neighbor too. His business did so well I didn't even use my coupon.

We hired Oregon Landscape to help us plan and install the softscape for our front and back yards. Their work was excellent. From day one, Tony was great to work with. He came to our house several times to talk about our goals for the project, review the (very professional!) landscape plan, makes changes and suggest alternatives as needed, check in on the work as it was being completed, and tour the end result to make sure everything was as we wanted it to be. His team removed sod, removed brush, added topsoil, laid new sod, planted trees, hearty foliage, and flowering plants, incorporated existing hardscaping and established plants into the plan, used curves and boulders and height to perfection, and cleaned up after themselves. We wanted this work done before winter and Oregon Landscape was the only landscape company in this area able to deliver on that – from our first phone call in mid-fall to planning to scheduling to execution, we were done in a little over a month. Our yard looks awesome, and I can’t wait to see how it flourishes this spring and summer. Tony and Oregon Landscape did a top notch job getting the “bones” of our yard in place, and now we can enjoy maintaining their work and adding to it in the coming years.

Tony visited our property several times during the bid process in order to make the best possible recommendations. Once work commenced, his crew was prompt, courteous, professional, and skilled. The work area was always left clean. At the end of each day of work, Tony came by to assess the day's progress and make sure that we were satisfied. The work was done on-time and within budget, and we are very happy with the results. Our drainage issues have been addressed, and the our patio addition adds not only space but a custom-designed look to our backyard space. We would highly recommend Oregon Landscape, and will use them for any future projects in our own yard.

It went well. The work was done professionally and we are very pleased with the results. Brett may be a little slow on follow through, but he does eventually get things done.

Tony and crew did beautiful job. Gravel and Barkdust were applied and compacted so it does blow off. Sod lawn is gorgeous and drought tolerant. Very affordable and high quality for a reasonable price including Angie's list coupon! Irrigation system works perfectly and cuts down on my water use and time I spent watering.

Tony one of the co owners was very professional and responsive. The work crew guys were amazing and I can't believe how nice my yard looks. Next I'm going to have them put in a lawn and irrigation system

Working and planning with Tony was a very positive experience. He was on time, available for contact, friendly and helpful and ensured the crew’s work was professional. They worked hard for 10 hours every day for eleven days. We had one unhappy issue during the work, but Tony addressed it to our satisfaction. Our ugly back yard was transformed from a place we never wanted to go into a functional and lovely, park-like setting that we are pleased to use and proud to share with family and friends!

They are always on time and very efficient. They take care of what they need to do whether I'm here or not. If I'm here, it's not a disruptive thing.

Basically, they redid the whole front yard and backyard. It is now the best front yard in the whole subdivision. They were professional. They were $10,000 cheaper than anybody that had quoted it. They were amazing.

Very small townhouse front yard was prepped and new sod put down, beds were cleaned up, weeds pulled, debris hauled away. Tony was very professional and accommodating to my time schedule. A few very minor details were overlooked, such as odd weeds growing that could have been pulled out, and some dirty brick borders that could have been cleaned a little better, but over all the yard looked wonderful and the townhouse sold right away!

Oregon Landscape provides routine maintenance on our property.  We only need the most basic service, and we are satisfied and happy with what we're getting for what we pay.  Tony at Oregon Landscape is always professional and helpful anytime we have a question or would like an estimate on bigger jobs that may come up as they arise.  We used OR Landscape at a prior residence as well, and rain or shine, they always showed up and kept our yard looking amazing.  This is a reliable company to work with.

They did a fantastic job. We are extremely pleased. The lead on the crew that worked on our place was super.
