THE PHOENIX GARDEN PROJECT

Johnathan and his crew are a great choice for anyone looking for more than just the "mow and blow" level of service. They take care of weeding (by hand when needed!), planting, trimming, and small-to-medium sized upgrade projects. Sometimes there is a bit of communications lag and their visits don't have a ton of advance warning. On the other hand, it's clear that lack of warning is not a big deal for us; I think if a strict schedule is important Johnathan could make it happen. The only other issue was a period where a couple key employees left and they were scrambling to meet demand. That seems like just the way it goes in this business sometimes, though.
If you've got an all grass yard and just want someone to come mow every week for $20, look elsewhere. If you've got a more complicated situation and want a little bit more of a personal touch, I recommend giving them a try.

I interviewed two contractors for the job. Jonathan was clearly the more knowledgeable and experienced. He showed up on time and provided me an estimate quickly. The estimate ended up being right on. In the meantime, Jonathan worked around my harried schedule, did the work quickly, and the fence looks absolutely great. Plus, the lumber place was out of regular cedar, so I got all clear cedar for no extra cost!
Jonathan was flexible to work with and was great at bearing with me through lots of questions and decisions on design and placement. When a latch was slightly off-center after they finished he came back right away to fix it. I plan on having him back to build a small deck for us in the next year. I also suggested him to friends and he gave them a thorough and professional estimate right away. 
I strongly recommend Phoenix Garden Project for fencing, and I look forward to hiring them when we upgrade our landscaping as well.

I'm a gardener with a large lot in transition. No job is too big or small for Phoenix Garden Project. They are a full service operation. Whether it's a full design with hardscaping and irrigation or a simple Spring clean-up, Jonathan has the expertise and ability to do an amazing job. He always leaves my garden better than he found it.

They did a really good job but they're more expensive than what we thought was necessary. They were good. They were on time. They did a good job when they were here. It's just that they were expensive. I didn't like their prices.

We were impressed by their work ethic and knowledge of plants. We discussed together many of the plant attributes and chose what to do with improving design of the space. Our yard is average to small in size yet it still took three men two days to clean it up. It was very hot those two days and they worked diligently to get done on time.
We really appreciated how our yard looked afterward -- neat, tidy, pruned.

They come and do a great job quickly rain or shine.

They did a lot of work for the money, and they worked quickly and carefully. I also plan to use them for maintenance.

Jonathan gave me an estimate for the project- discussed the possibility of selling some of the bamboo. This sounded like a great idea. The bamboo was very healthy-just too much of it. When I got home from work the job was done, the area was clean, the area on the deck and driveway was clean-the area was filled in and ready to begin another project.

Since Phoenix started, I am proud of my house.  The communication is great.  He does extra things that I think of (sometimes at the last minute).  Things just look so nice.

Originally, I was upset about the cost of the work, but that included hauling away things.  Now he has been here for years.  I love what my home/garden look like -- especially when I come around the corner and there's a great new surprise.  He is thorough and does an excellent job.

He even did some extra projects and I am so happy that he is able to do them.  Now he lets me know when he's coming and asks if there is anything extra that needs to be done.

I apologize for concern about the price.  YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR -- and they are worth every penny.  I have recommended him/them to many people.

WORK PERFORMED WAS GOOD BUT NOT EXACTLY WHAT I HAD IN MIND. MY FAULT FOR NOT BEING THERE TO GUIDE AND DIRECT. NEXT TIME I WILL TAKE A VACATION DAY TO BE PRESENT WHILE WORK IS PERFORMED.

Jonathan and crew were very professional, timely and efficient. We are thrilled with our new parking "look" and are grateful to them for their assistance in finding the right stepable ground cover for us.  They brought out samples of different ground cover for us to chooseand we chose 3 different plants -they were able to prepare the soil properly (as we found out that it was not done properly by our previous landscaper) add the pavers and the outcome is wonderful.  Our neighbors and passers-by remark how attractive it is.      We would have no reservations recommending Phoenix Garden Project.  They did an excellent job for us! We give them an A+

Jonathan came over to review what I wanted shortly after I emailed him with my request. He listened to my ideas and offered some of his suggestions. He said they could get started in about 2-3 weeks. This worked out well with my plans too because I needed to purchase the Star Jasmine and they weren't in the nurseries yet. Jonathan called to let me know they would be starting and by that time I had my plants. The posts for the trellis were positioned in cement and the soil around where the trellis would be was amended to promote good growth. The next day the trellis was built, the Jasmine planted, the vines pruned and the Bamboo thinned. The yard was completely cleaned up in the back where the trimming and pruning was done- not a leaf remained on the ground. The trellis area was lovely with the Jasmine planted and compost and bark spread over the area of planting.

He is absolutely a quality practitioner. Responsive and punctual. He is organic and won't use chemicals. The lawn looks great when he's done and the property pristine.

Starting from the day Jonathan came and gave the bid I knew he would do a good job. My landscaping does not include grass. It is a variety of existing stonework and plantings in mostly linear shapes. There is moss planted between the stones of the walkway and patio. No problem for Jonathan. He came up with answers for my concerns instantly. His professionalism also showed by always answering calls and emails from me promptly. The finished product was just what I wanted done the way I wanted it done.

Well, I continued to use Jonathan and am happy he took me back.  We have established price limits and he has been working here for 2-3  years now.  He let's me know when he's coming and asks if anything special needs to be done.  He works around my (Doggy) schedule to get into the back yard.

The quality of the work is WELL worth the price.  Initially I underestimated the quality and quality-over-time aspect of the money.  I am happy he works here.  Trust him.  Have a good communication with him.  He is a hard and detail-oriented worker.  I've seen his expression when one of his workers does something he doesn't approve of, but I have never heard him yell or embarrass them.  Plus they are the same people, so that also states something.

We have been working together for years now and he kind of plans the work by season so he keeps in mind my budget.  I really appreciate that.  If I had more money I'd love to improve and make things fancier, but clean and quality are great.  I love coming home and seeing how neat my yard looks.

It is without hesitation that I give him an A+ and have learned to speak to him if something is bothering me.  Thanks.  You certainly have "phoenix-ed" my front yard.
