Requested and paid for annual maintenance on two warehouse heaters. Report says both heaters performing perfectly. Two days after being serviced, one heater failed, so called for help. They say that heater now has a broken ignition board that needs to be replaced. I say ok, but will you at least credit me for the cost of the maintenance trip for that heater that was clearly wrong. NO! Pleaded twice with them. Was told to forget it. That was my experience. Went with a new vendor and am glad I did.

Started well became disappointing.  When I booked the appointment I was told it would be a certain price for servicing as I could not get the fireplace to light.  They came on time and quickly found and rectified the problem which cost nothing to fix.  At that point I was extremely happy with the service call and they immediately began servicing the fireplace without saying anything.  When it came time to pay the bill it was significantly higher than originally quoted.  I paid without questioning.  Also, I had asked the tech to put a service sticker on the fireplace.  He said it was too big for the fireplace, but would put it on the furnace.  When I looked he had placed his sticker on the furnace and also taken an extra sticker which covered the existing service sticker.  At that time I processed that what I was charged more than I was quoted.  I called and ask to speak to the service manager.  She called back the next day and was very helpful and understanding and reduced the charge to the quoted price.  However, she said that she had spoken to the tech and he told her that he had explained that the servicing was going to be an addition charge.  Unfortunately, that is not the truth.  He just started the servicing without warning of additional cost.  We had just cleaned the glass in the process of trying to get the fireplace to work and I told him such.  He replied that cleaning the glass was all part of the servicing.  The service manager did the right thing;  however, the fact that the service tech lied to her when asked if he had explained to me the higher cost than I was quoted and the fact he covered the information on my furnace for the company who has serviced the unit for 10 years, I find unacceptable.  The tech's actions turned out what started as a very favorable experience into a negative one.
