"I could not be more pleased with the work from Grace Electric. From the start, communication was excellent? clear, timely, and professional. Their proposal was more thoughtful and detailed than the others I received, and their pricing was both reasonable and transparent. The job was estimated methodically, and they stayed within that estimate. The installation of my EV Ford Pro Charging Station was seamless, and they even returned the next day to ensure everything was running smoothly. Beyond the install, they have been handling coordination with the city for inspection, giving me full confidence they will see this project through to the finish line. On a personal level, having them in my home was a great experience. With two kids, a dog, and three cats ?not to mention the usual household obstacles? they worked safely, respectfully, and left our space even better than they found it. I highly recommend Grace Electric for their expertise, professionalism, and overall outstanding service."

"We originally contacted John at Optimum through Angie's List on a Sunday night and he responded within the hour! He came out within 48 hours and got us our estimate within another day. We had to wait 3 months for the work because of a large commercial job he was working on but I've heard that is not unusual in this area. To John's credit, he did not ask for a deposit until he was ready to start the job. Once started, he and his crew finished the job very quickly for the scope of it and yet, they were extremely thorough and detailed. John even had a carpenter come out to do a little repair we needed first. The crew took down and replaced our garage lights, porch shades, house numbers and door weatherstripping for us and even moved our patio furniture. We have been doing some remodeling this summer and have had multiple contractors out and John's group was by far the most hassle-free experience we've had! We did three colors with a fourth on the door and it turned out flawless! I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again in the future."

"Very professional install team of technicians. My main contact was Cole and he is very prompt in answering all my questions and concerns. On time in all the appointments before installation and was helpful in recommending a local business for a non HVAC issue I needed assistance with. I know that Lennox is a quality product and I'm very pleased so far. Tom and another technician(apologize for forgetting his name) were both friendly and professional during the installation. I've had the new furnace for about a month now and notice a huge difference in the comfort of my home. The new thermostat allows me to set different temperatures for every day of the week at different times if needed, and very easy to program. I can barely hear the furnace when it's on and, it has kept my house nice and cozy during this very cold winter!"

"They were informative! It's a family business that is generational in their craft. They explained my unit to me and gave me tips to improve it's care. I will be using them in the future for maintenance."
When maintained properly, a whole-house generator can last up to 20 years. Costs to maintain and repair generators vary by location and type of generator, but you can expect to pay about $150 to $300 per year for annual generator maintenance checks. An experienced generator service technician will inspect your generator’s engine filter, starting mechanism, fuel, lubrication, and coolant levels to keep your generator in good working condition for as long as possible.
Installing a whole-house generator costs about $5,000 on average. Prices range from $1,550 to $8,500, depending on size, brand, fuel type, and assembly. The size of your whole-house generator is the most significant cost factor, with large homes with high energy demands costing the most to power. Types of whole-home generators include:
Portable generators with 1kW–7.5kW capacity: $500–$2,000
Partial generators with 9kW–20kW capacity: $2,000–$6,300
Whole-house generators with 22kW–48kW: $5,000–$18,000
When choosing the right size generator for your needs, consider a few items to help calculate the wattage you’ll need. Start by determining which household items and appliances you want to power, and then add the wattages together. Check out the wattage of these essential appliances:
Refrigerator: 600 watts
Large dehumidifier: 700 watts
Large window air conditioner: 1,400 watts
Water heater: 3,000 watts
Running home appliances like these requires a partial or whole-house generator. A portable generator may be enough to power your home if you only plan to keep a refrigerator and freezer running.
Here’s what you can run with different wattages and types of generators:
Portable generator:
2,000 watts can handle a large appliance like a freezer or refrigerator, plus a few smaller items like phones or computer chargers.
4,000 watts will keep two large appliances operating and a few smaller devices.
8,000 watts should power most essential appliances and other devices, including a sump pump, well pump, or your dishwasher.
Partial to whole-house generator:
20,000 watts and above will make it seem like your home’s power is still on.
The value of installing a whole-house generator is that your home has guaranteed power, even if the power grid in your area is down. Whether a whole-house generator is worth installing in your home depends on how often you use it, your home’s location, and your lifestyle. For example, installing a whole-house generator is likely worth it if you:
Experience frequent or prolonged power outages
Work from home
Store a lot of cold food
Have a sump pump
Have a pump for well water
Use electronic medical devices
Live in a climate requiring heating or cooling
