"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List !  She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home.  She has  a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me"  I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly  hence saving me the time.  She also has excellent local contacts.  Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent.
My project is far from complete.  I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"

"

Did a good job, providing 2 layouts to choose from.  Completed design and sent email and snail mail paint and furniture samples in a little over a month from starting the process.  The previous estimate was 2-3 weeks so it wasn't so late.  My only disappointment was the design was not for the complete room.  They told me that the missing area was considered an entry way or hallway and could be designed for an additional fee.  I did not want to pay an additional and accepted their explanation, but on second thought, in my opinion, it isn't really separate.  There is a large archway one-third of the way into the room, but I have never considered it as two separate rooms and no one visiting my home has ever mentioned it.  Every room has an entrance.  I wouldn't call the way to get into a room as a separate room. Other than that, I would say a got a great deal overall.

"Such a great company. I dealt with Hector initially for a mattress/home items disposal, then discovered they do a variety of other services such as moving/grounds work (and more) and were able to put me in touch with a professional cleaner too (Maggie). They were really flexible about what I needed and were able to work around my ever changing schedule, which really helped. They were professional, careful and fast. Things were arranged at my new place in such a way that what I needed was easy to get to so I didn't have to dig for hours looking for things. Hector dealt with a couple of problems at my new place without my having to be there which really helped. I had been looking at several large companies for moving/disposal services but they charged a fortune and wanted me to fit the move around their schedule which was a problem with so much going on. Hector's group was much more flexible and treated me/my possessions with a great deal of consideration and respect. He was also able to put me in touch with a fantastic cleaner who was very reasonably priced and efficient, also very fast. The place sparkled by the time Maggie was done. Moving is so difficult and exhausting, Hector's company made a world of difference by their smaller company attention to detail, professionalism, and attention to service so that the weight of the move was not all on my shoulders. I highly recommend them and not having to hire multiple companies for several jobs with several large bills was great. I would rather support a local company whenever I can rather than going with a large chain. Thanks again for the great help guys!"

"I took a COCC Design Class that Sarah taught and learned enough about her to know I wanted to hire her for a home project. It was a good experience as Sarah is so easy to work with for a number of reasons: she incorporated our existing furniture/decor into a new design; worked within our parameters (very conscious of staying within budget, timeline); offers creative solutions (and often right off the top of her head!); provided the names of materials suppliers, contractors as needed; and uses design software that enabled us to see exactly how our completed project would look. I highly recommend Sarah as an interior designer!"

Home Staging questions, answered by experts

Home staging in Eugene demands regular upkeep due to frequent rain and humidity. Inspect fabrics and surfaces weekly for mold or moisture, and clean windows to maintain natural light and curb appeal. Keep gutters and outdoor walkways clear to prevent hazards. During colder months, check heating and ensure safe entryways, while spring and summer require more attention to landscaping and air quality.

Helpful?

In Eugene, prioritize safety by securing all décor and furniture to withstand minor tremors and prevent tipping, especially in active households. Opt for washable, non-toxic materials and avoid sharp-edged or breakable items. Use cordless window coverings and ensure rugs are slip-resistant. Select pet-safe and child-friendly plants, and keep small decorative objects out of reach to create a welcoming, hazard-free environment for families.

Helpful?

Start by boosting curb appeal with native plants and well-maintained walkways, which are especially important during Eugene’s rainy seasons. Inside, enhance lighting to brighten spaces on overcast days and address any dampness or odors. Highlight energy-efficient features and focus on staging the kitchen, living room, and main bedroom to create inviting, functional spaces that appeal to local buyers and increase home value.

Helpful?

Before staging your Eugene home, assess for moisture or mold issues, as these are common in the local climate. Plan projects around peak real estate market seasons, typically spring and summer. If making structural or electrical updates, check if permits are required. Consult with local real estate professionals to align staging with buyer preferences, and enhance outdoor spaces, as gardens and patios are highly valued in Eugene.

Helpful?

For Eugene home staging, keep a dehumidifier, moisture meter, and fans to manage dampness. Stock mold and mildew cleaners, window cleaning supplies, and microfiber cloths for regular cleaning. Have a basic tool kit, extra light bulbs, non-slip mats, and furniture pads ready. Store wall repair materials, museum putty for securing décor, and keep a flashlight, first aid kit, and emergency contacts accessible for safety.
