"I am elderly and have had dishonest people, but Joo's is clearly honest. Excellent job, fast, hard working, completed just as requested. Courteous, knowledgeable, honest, reasonable charge. Recommend with no reservation. He brought his own equipment and crew. Discussed bigger jobs below to starting in the fall. He offered suggestions and processes. Jobs such as: A gravel parking strip, pea gravel wheelchair garden walkway, fence staining, install picket fence to section off the raised beds. I arranged for routine service. "

The Good Son is here to help home owners with seasonal clean up and decorations as will as repairs around the house. Our pricing is intended to encourage addressing small problems more frequently to avoid bigger problems. This is especially true for older customers who need help to avoid hurting themselves doing tasks that are risky for them. Hopefully this will allow them to remain in their home longer.

We have two employees that are ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute) certified and our construction manager is NCMA (National Concrete Masonry Association) certified. We are a licensed low voltage contractor and we do not use subcontractors unless required by law. "Went very well. They worked with me on setting the schedule, then finished when they said they would. Provided excellent plant materials, and did a great job on a challenging site—hilly and rocky old quarry! Shout out to Dean (irrigation), Dustin and Ryan. And thanks for pointing out that bear scat in the yard!!"

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

The best time to hire a snow removal professional is long before snow falls in your area. Signing up for a seasonal contract not only provides peace of mind that your property will be cleared every time it snows, but it’s also often more affordable to sign a contract than paying for one-off services. If you prefer one-off shoveling services, you should contact your snow removal company the day before a storm is expected to schedule service. You can also call the morning of the snowfall, but this might result in delays.

There are several ways to remove snow from your roof: using a snow rake, salting the roof with calcium chloride, using a rope (cautiously), and using heating cables. It’s important to mention that pretty, fluffy, sparkling snow weighs a great deal, and when physically removing snow from a roof, you should be aware of large snow slabs breaking off. These can weigh hundreds of pounds and are a real danger, so be extremely careful anytime you’re doing this type of work.

Costs range from $50 to $150 per hour, depending on the property size and service frequency.

It is not advisable to use salt on your roof to prevent or remove ice dams. It’s not only mostly ineffective but can also cause serious damage to your roof itself. Salt can rust metal, damage masonry, pit shingles, and cause runoff that’s damaging to plants and animals.

Yes, some homeowners insurance policies cover roof damage caused by snow. However, these full or partial payouts can vary depending on the age of your roof and other related factors, like the overall condition it was in before the snowfall. It’s best to check with your specific homeowners insurance policy to determine snow damage coverage and exclusions.
