Our primary goal is to provide our clients with well performed services. We work hard to establish return customers. It is our objective to provide quality excavation services, affordability, and effective communication with our clients. We look forward to working with you.

"Mr. Toney was very responsive, looked quickly at what we wanted him to do. made suggestions an he and his assistant navigated the backhoe through a heavily wooded area, on a pretty steep slope into location. We watched the operation with awe! He could almost peel an orange with that backhoe! Work was done quickly, including some hand touchup, and we were very pleased with the result."

Owned and mainly operated by Don Bassetti. Homers Excavation has been up and running for a year and a half, but Don has been working in the industry for years. Please visit our Facebook page for reviews and photos! Homer's Excavation main services include, but may not be limited to excavation, land clearing, grass and stump removal, road site prep for buildings, horse arenas, cattle and vineyard fencing, tree removal, private logging, grass and bush removal, and trenching.

"Hired them for a basic residential addition foundation job and they completely screwed up every step of the process. They don’t know how to read plans or pour straight out flat foundations. They don’t pay their subs which is coming back on us now. They won't respond to any communications. A lien has now been filed on the project because of their lack of payment. Shocked at their ineptitude. Very friendly people, but they should not be construction business owners."

4Gen Electric is a local, growing business looking to help solve your electrical needs. Licensed, bonded and insured to protect your investment into your home or business. We listen to help you decide how to get exactly what is needed from your electrical installation.

"Steve Trickel, the owner of 4Gen Electric took a $500 deposit for work he never performed and refused to issue a refund after failing to get a simple RV hookup connection approved. Along the way, Steve was hostile, dismissive, and arrogant. Please stay away from them, there's so many other reputable electricians out there!"

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

You should check water pressure twice a year to ensure there aren’t any irregularities and that it isn’t too high. It’s also smart to check it any time you notice symptoms of high water pressure (like banging pipes, inconsistent water flow, and leaky fixtures). Similarly, if you live in an area that’s prone to water pressure fluctuations due to municipal supply changes, elevation, or seasonal temperature shifts, check it more frequently. You can buy an affordable water pressure gauge and check the water pressure yourself.

If your well pump gets stuck in its casing, you may be able to free it loose by gently wiggling the line or by vibrations from tapping the line with a hammer. However, if your pump is stuck in a buildup of minerals around the casing, you’ll probably have to call in a well pump contractor to get it out. They’ll likely use a muriatic acid solution—a strong, corrosive acid—to break down the minerals and free the pump loose.

To avoid a stuck pump in the future, experts recommend a professional well cleaning once every 10 years.

The average lifespan of a deep well pump is between 15 and 25 years, after which you’ll have to replace it. Several factors can affect the lifespan of a well pump, such as the quality of the unit. Proper maintenance and repair can also help extend your well pump’s lifespan as well as keep adequate water flow and pressure throughout your home.

A well pressure tank is located between the well and the well pump, and it stores your water under pressure so that the well pump can eventually do its job. The well pump is activated whenever you turn a faucet on—it pulls the water from the tank into your home. Both are vital parts of a complete well water system.

The cost to drill a well varies, but the national average is around $5,500 for a 150-foot well. However, prices can vary significantly based on location, well depth, and other factors, so it's best to research potential fees to get a more accurate cost assessment for your area.
