"ACS installed a new Bryant heat pump + furnace. The equipment is high quality and the team was knowledgeable, flexible, and willing to answer all my questions. They accommodated a change in scope on the day of install from just installing a heat pump to installing a furnace + heat pump combo. This set the team back a few hours for the last minute parts request, but they powered through a very long day and stayed until the job was finished. All customer service goes directly through the owner operator. Originally this seemed like a plus, but I think they would benefit from support staff. I needed to edit and downgrade this review after a few negative experiences. Some changes are related to issues noticed after the install. The unit was not secured to the pad outdoors and also was not attached to the house. Holes cut into the corner of the garage slab in order to pass through the lines were not patched, leaving a break in the envelope. Mark promised to follow up on both of these, but he did not send anyone out to take care of this. Mark also directly promised that our install would qualify for Energy Trust of Oregon incentives for $3000, when in fact it is clear after speaking directly with Energy Trust representatives that our install did not qualify for any amount of rebate. This promise was echoed throughout the quote and the install process. I believe that the lack of a support staff is causing some shortcutting or disorganization when it comes to managing some of these details - I would prefer to assume that ACS did not know the details of the incentive rather than that they purposefully deceived me, but I dont feel comfortable recommending them given these circumstances."

Breezy HVAC and Construction specializes in all your HVAC needs. Whether it be a check up on your current system, installing a whole new system, or a duct cleaning and repair. Breezy strives to keep our customers happy. We explain things to customers and work with their budget to the best of our ability. If we can repair your current system over replacing it, we will! Breezy HVAC and Construction is family owned and operated. The owner, Trevor Jaeger, has been in the field for 8 years but decided to open Breezy in February 2021. Trevor is accompanied by his wife Desirae. Together they work with customers to determine the best options available for them! Stay comfy and call Breezy! We make it easy!

"They were very friendly and thorough. The home is a 1971 home on the beach and the ducts were terribly filthy, clogged up with dust, sand and grime, perhaps the ducts have never been cleaned. Breezy took on the job and worked hard to clean the ducts thoroughly, and now we can breathe easy in our home! I would recommend them and use them again!"

Air Duct Cleaning questions, answered by experts

HVAC maintenance is crucial for the longevity of your unit. Without proper care, your HVAC unit can break down frequently. In addition, a system that is dirty and not cleaned correctly will not heat or cool as efficiently and will increase your energy bills due to the increase in energy consumption. Additionally, you will probably have to replace your unit sooner than you would if it were properly maintained, which will cost you more money.

While having a return vent in every room is unnecessary, it’s becoming more common in modern homes. You should ensure a balanced distribution of these vents throughout your home. This ensures that air circulates effectively, preventing hot or cold spots.

Mold in your air conditioner isn't a good thing, as it can be harmful to your health. If the mold travels through the ductwork or is blown out of the A/C, you and your family can inhale mold spores and develop respiratory illnesses and other problems. Preventing mold from growing in the air conditioner will help protect your health.

The cost depends on the exact task. Overall, AC tuneups cost $70 to $150 on average. Filter replacement, which is one of the most important HVAC maintenance tasks, costs anywhere from $5 to $20 per filter on average. Refrigerant replacement costs $125 on average. Coil cleaning costs $100 to $400.

If adjusting your dampers is not giving you the performance you want, such as a reduction in energy bills, you may want to consider the cost to reroute ductwork. You may have a poorly designed system that doesn’t meet your home’s needs. If you added on to the home, for example, this could explain the need to add or reroute some ductwork to help the dampers work better.
