I called them again and they sent the same technicians back out only to be told that my compressor was shot shortly afterwards. It didn't take Tony and Pat anytime at all to figure out that the inept technicians the other company sent had overcharged my unit which was causing the compressor to shut down when the pressure and amps reached too high of a level. Also, I already had a hard start kit, yet the other company decided to add another one. After Tony reclaimed the 2 lbs. of refrigerant, my unit started cooling perfectly as it had done before the tuneup. Needless to say, All Comfort Specialists just gained a new customer for the foreseeable future."

"Guy that came out said that it was an issue of the boiler not having enough water. He turned the valve to force water to it and and ended making a mess in my basement floor of black gunk water that I had to clean up. Idk if that was necessarily the issue, he said that’s all it was and nothing else needs to be done. He didn’t provide any type of explanation as to why it wasn’t getting enough water when turned on as this is something that should be self regulated, not something I should have to monitor anytime I turn my heat on. I won’t even necessarily know if this is the case and it’s fixed until fall rolls around again and we need heat, as it is now warming up. I hope that he was correct but quite pessimistic, and felt that a more thorough check should of been done."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
