"The cedar tree was cut to the ground and completely removed within an hour. The cost was very reasonable, and I would use this service again. Aaron communicated with me in a timely, friendly manner. He did exactly what he said he would at the price he quoted. I highly recommend his tree removal service."

"This is the first time I've used a tree service. I couldn't have picked a better company! They got me in the next day and showed up on time. 4 guys were there and starting working immediately. They cut down an 80 foot maple tree in my back yard. 1 was cutting wihile the other 3 were hauling everything to the front where the shredder was. When they got to the trunk of the tree, I was amazed at the strength these guys had. Hauling 175 lb pieces of wood is not an easy task, but they did it with ease. AND while it rained on & off all day. Great company, Great employees. Thank you guys!!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed having Takedown Tree Service respond to my service request. I needed to modify the time my service needed to be done and Takedown was able to make adjustmennta to my schedule. Then, when an Emergency (for them) came up, I was notified promptly of the delay. Upon their arrival, we discussed what I wanted done, so they were very considerate of my opinion and needs. The work was performed quickly and the residual limbs were neatly stacked so that I could arrange disposal. Takedown Tree Service will be my first chioce for any future tree services."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

It’s possible, although a lot depends on the cause of damage and what steps you take. If the remaining parts of the maple tree are alive and not under attack by disease or pests, they can often be saved even if large portions of the maple tree have died. Frequent watering, careful pruning, mulch, and any recommended fungicides or insecticides can all help with survival.

It may be possible, but transplanting a large, mature tree can be a tricky project, and some trees handle it better than others. If you have a tree you need to save and are considering transplanting it elsewhere, we highly suggest calling a tree removal service and arranging a consultation to see what they say (and how much a full transplant would cost).

Leaving a dead tree can expose your other trees to potential diseases, pests, and fungi, and it can also be a hazard. If your tree is dead, then you should hire a tree maintenance service to remove it. Cutting down trees is extremely dangerous, and a professional can ensure no one gets hurt and there is no damage to your property. Tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000 and will prevent future issues and keep you and your property safe.

Yes, tree roots can regenerate after they’re pruned or cut. In fact, trimming can stimulate new growth, especially in healthy trees. The tree’s roots can still grow back even after a tree is cut down, (and learning how to get rid of regrowing tree roots is a separate feat). Still, if you don’t wish to harm a tree, pruning the roots should be done with extreme care, and ideally by a professional.
