"We cannot say enough about the amazing staff at Advanced Backyard Solutions. After speaking with several pool contractors, all of whom either did not win our trust or they simply never got back to us, we found this incredible team. Throughout our journey towards pool ownership, we encountered many people, several bids from local pool contractors, and many disappointments. We soon came to learn that Advanced Backyard Solutions is a family-run business, and that is the essence of how they treated us from start to finish and beyond, like family. Our job was extremely difficult, a pool on a steep incline that would require terracing. Frankly, we're not sure ours was their favorite job because of the extreme challenges of the hillside terrain, the same conditions that drove other contractors away, but every one of the crew associated with Advanced Backyard Solutions should be commended for outstanding work and detailed professionalism. From the initial design and visual/conceptual renderings, to ground-breaking, construction of the retaining walls, pool delivery, concrete work, electrical work, plumbing, the retractable safety cover, and everything in-between, Advanced Backyard Solutions delivered! They even attended a tricky permitting hearing to ensure our county zoning board had all of the facts to approve our build. "BEWARE: Lien Threats & Hidden Pricing I'm 45, have owned three 100-year-old homes, and never left a negative review until now. I hired Honey Go Fix It to reseat a toilet. I signed on a phone screen where the price was obscured. The job took <20 minutes. The bill? $481.65. A wax ring costs $10. When I called to discuss the sticker shock, Kassandra (the President) threatened a mechanic's lien on my house in the first two minutes of the conversation. I offered $300 to settle amicably (extremely generous for 20 mins of labor). She refused. However, in her email refusal, she admitted they are "adding extra clarity steps... to help prevent future misunderstandings." She acknowledged in writing that their process causes confusion, yet still threatened our property rights. I paid the invoice to avoid the lien. WARNING: They use exorbitant flat rates and digital screens to hide the total until it's too late. Get the price in clear writing before signing. Better yet, avoid this company."
