I had never had a leak in my roof, but a storm had come through and damaged my shingles. I hired Daytime Exteriors to replace my roof. The vent for my bathroom started leaking soon after the installation. We fixed that problem. Several years later I started noticing water damage on my ceiling. We called Daytime to come out to see what the problem was. The owner was extremely rude and refused to come out to even investigate the problem. I asked another roofing company to come inspect my roof and they found that Daytime Exteriors had installed my roof improperly. My house was built in 1960 and so my roof has slats that have spaces between them and they were supposed to shoot the nails into the wood and they "shot the gaps". Which probably wouldn't have leaked except they put nails in the wrong spots. They had nails that were only 1/8th of an inch away from the bottom of the shingle overlapping it. I am now getting another roof and I have to replace the insulation in my attic because everything is soaked up there. It isn't just one water damage spot. It is at least 11 different spots in 3 different rooms all over the house. Today all of my shingles and plywood are being pulled off and replaced. The roof they installed should have lasted at minimum 20 years. Now I have so much more damage because of their poor workmanship.

The sales portion is great. They are very aggressive with insurance companies and will do their utmost to ensure that the job gets covered. The quality of the work is not up to par though. The roof itself, which is the easy part, is holding up, but the flashing, gutter apron, replacement of siding were all done poorly. We called them come to check the work because we were having problems. They kept rescheduling and then showed up on a date I said I wouldn't be there. They were rude to my 82 year old mother and denied any problems, but we are having leaking issues and a second roofing company confirmed our suspicions. We now have to pay for a replacement gutter apron, and removal and replacement of our aluminum siding because they did these poorly when they put in the roof. My brother had his roof replaced by them and needed to have the chimney flashing redone by someone else. It was so bad you could see into his attic from the roof! They cut a lot of corners and don't stand by their work. If you use them, get an inspection done and expect to pay more money out of your pocket to another company to fix their shoddy work.

We contacted Daytime Exteriors on June 8th and Doug Day came out early June 9th
On June 8th my husband talked with one of our neighbors who had his roof replaced in early June by Daytime Exteriors and he raved about the experience and told use to request the upgrade.
We also watched the neighbors roof put on the house and were impressed by the efficiency of the crew. The old roof was removed and the new on put on in one day and included a roof ridge vent (This is not common in our plat).
We had water leaks in our 4 Season room that occurred with heavy rains
Doug talked with us about what his company would do and gave us samples of Roof Shingles and Gutters - with the leaf relief component (we do not want to clean gutters!) We were quick with our selections and wrote the contract up on June 9th.
Doug told us that we would be contacted when they were ready to put the new roof on which would be in a week or so.
We were contacted on Monday and were told Daytime Exteriors had a cancelation and would be coming out on Tuesday 6-14.
The crew was efficient as we had observed - they had to remove two layers of old shingles - they covered out shrubs.
The old shingles were put into a trailer - Doug told us they do not use dumpsters to save the home owners driveways.
When they were cleaning up debris was removes and a magnet was used to pick up nails and screws.
The Roof was completed on June 14th and Doug contacted the the Gutter company
The Gutter company the next day - they were efficient and the job was completed within about 3hrs. They we not as through with picking up the screws that we used on the gutters but did a relatively good clean up.
We are very happy and would recommend Daytime Exteriors to friends and family and will use them again if needed.

They pulled off six layers of original cedar shake shingles. They replaced them with standard shingles that should last about 20 years. I didn't want to have my whole roof done at one time. They were the only company willing to break up the work into separate jobs. They were accommodating for my dogs and my schedule, and they were reasonably price. They did an excellent job!

They were an excellent resource for getting our insurance claim filed and appealed in order to pay for roof damages due to a storm last year. Without Daytime I would guess that our insurance would not have covered such a large loss. The salesperson was often late and stayed for very long stays but did get the job done. The workers were fast and fairly tidy. There was quite a bit of clean up left for us to do when they left and we are still finding roofing nails here and there even 7 months later. All in all they did not do a bad job but with all the roofing companies in town, I would expect better pricing. We did have one area on one roof that blew off in the first heavy wind after the new roofs were placed. The company was very fast to come out to repair. They also did a follow up call to see if the repair was to our satisfaction.

Several homeowners in our immediate area were having their roofing replaced. A neighbor suggested we have ours inspected. We had an insurance adjustor also do his inspection and found we had more damage than we realized. We had two small areas of ceiling damage in two rooms (not structural) that needed repainted. All work was completed to our satisfaction.

A great overall experience with Daytime Exteriors. From start to finish, the company personnel were courteous and professional. The quality of the materials and workmanship were excellent.
Any changes requested were immediately addressed. The folks at Daytime Exteriors are the best!
Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I actually had a very good experience with them. They were so prompt that they came in and did it right away. I was being picky. For instance, when they had to trim around the windows and everything else, I said that there was a certain way that I would like it do be done and they did it exactly the way I asked them to do, even though they had to put in a little more work. Similarly when they had to do the grout or the caulking they did exactly what I asked. When it came to the gutters for instance, I had a problem with the way the people had done the gutters in the first place and they came up with an excellent solution. I honestly don't know what to say about the price because I didn't get a bunch of estimates for that. What they basically did was that they went to my home owner's insurance and stuck with whatever they said. I would use them again in the future if need be.
