Commercial Asphalt Paving Repair or Patch
$4,500
Not a professional company. Paid 50% when receive estimate, but Dixon not show up to perform the for 4 weeks. Then he did not complete job, said he would come back later to seal the apron area and straighten the edges up some also. HOWEVER, Dixon never returned to finish the driveway repair job (10 months later. I was forced to hire another company to complete work

When the crew arrived, the lead explained everything and the crew went right to work. The driveway is fully repaired and looks great. Cody and the crew did a fantastic job. Thanks.

Concrete Floor Installation
Was a bad job altogether. . Workers were not qualified as one was a roofer another a truck driver. Foreman Corey was under staffed and not doing what I thought was going to be done. They said they would remove all soil and haul away. Forms were set mostly on top of the surface and not recessed as I thought. Concrete is not level with the yard. Rain puddles heavily between the house and walkway because the area has a rain gutter that empties into this area. The patio broom finish is substandard and looks terrible. That is the patio and walkway areas. I also was having a driveway put in t park my RV installed. He was first going to pour it thicker and then decided not to and put in a stronger psi concrete (4,000 psi) to prevent cracking from weight. We discussed the driveway apron and decided he would pull the permit. The slab part of the drive way went relatively well except when preping the area an leveling the area for the form the tractor operator of the skid steer tore up a good size area of our lawn. Which I was told would be fixed later. So they poured the driveway and got to the apron part and realized no one pulled the permit. So I was told it would take 7 days. What? I still have not checked with the county to see if that is true. Where I come from when you pull a permit it also means something will be required to be inspected however, no one came from county to inspect anything. So upon their return they started preparing the area and forms for the driveway apron or approach for the concrete. I told the skid steer operator on 3 occasions that I had removed the sprinkler heads and put in straight pipe in and lowered it a good 12 so he would not hit it and tear it up. But I do not know what happened but he did exactly that. He at least tod me what happened and did repair it. However I have yet to test it. The workers were treated to a lunch of pizza and soda. So the next morning they did a final pouring of the concrete. And this and the driveway looked acceptable although I di ask for just a broom finish I got a finish that the foreman wanted. My yard took a pounding and I am still picking up cigarette butts and concrete that was not cleaned up. I did not care at this point I just wanted them gone. I had a Sunroom project that was put n hold spite the time lost on the permit fiasco. I also would like to dd that on several occasions I offered them use of some of my tools. One was an expensive push broom which got loaded up with there thing and taken away. I asked for it's return and the foreman said he thought he had seen it on another job and he would replace it. Which he kindly did with a broom I priced below $20. I replaced it with a broom much like the one they took. There are many more things I could mention but will not . I am glad they are done and out of my life for now. Unless for some reason everything starts cracking which I expect it to, f for lack of proper preparation on their behalf with no rebar no mesh and minimal compaction. I believe that they should stick to paving with Asphalt and get out of the concrete business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. DANNY MALDONADO Home Advisor., you may send a representative to my home to view the work. Please contact me before coming. Thank you. UPDATE 9/6/24: After reading the Companies response, I would like to say that NO I was never given a copy of the Permit that took an extra week on their part to obtain. And NO I was not happy with the services provided or the replacement broom valued at under $20 from ACE Hardware. My broom was $80. But nice for broom finishing concrete compared to their replacement or the one they didn't have on their truck. This company is from Ohio. Hope they go back to Ohio. Hate to see my fellow Floridians get a poor quality job.
Response from Dixon Asphalt Maintenance, LLC
"I'm sorry you feel this way. Your project was completed and you had no complaints when the concrete was poured and after besides the sod being tore up in the work area where we was doing concrete. That issue was fixed by new sod placement. There was a permit pulled and a copy was provided to you. The contract was followed plus some. You were advised prior to you accepting our bid that no metal wire will be used and we use fiber in place of wire we gave you a fair bid and well below the next bid. You were then informed we could use wire also but it would be more money. You did not want that. I hope you find happiness."

The whole team was awesome!! Very professional. Everything to be done was explained ahead of time. The finished patio looks amazing. They even set apart an area where we could put our names and the date. Very thoughtful. Will definitely hire again for our next projects. 10++ stars.
