"I asked for information about a central air conditioning system. Riley told me that because my furnace is 20+ years old, it would make more sense to replace it with a new furnace/air conditioning system. He gave me all the pricing & warranty options. I told him Eco is the first company to give me info, & I would be making a decision within 6 months"

"Chuck was a pleasure to work with. He was very persistent in tracing down a clog in one line. He spent too much time in our attic on a 95 degree day but was determined to find the problem. Our replacement system is now fully functional. I highly recommend Chuck."

"Great!
First, I knew exactly what I wanted done.  Another provider was out & gave a repair estimate at a full day's labor plus service call (about $900).  Fortunately for me the OTHER provider didn't ever follow through with what they said they would do.
Wanting to get the work done on my timeframe, I contacted 4 highly rated providers with a short list of very specific requests.  Hubbs was the only provider that responded to each of the points in my message, and they were also the fastest to do so.  Consequently, it was an easy choice!
Ernie (who was very personable & seems to love life) came out for a free quote on Wednesday.  We got the job scheduled for Friday morning.  He called to confirm the appointment, arrived when he said he would, & got the job done in 2.5hr (quoted 3hr).  The connection was above some existing drywall, but there was a small access point where he was able to reach the ductwork & make the connection without tearing up the drywall.  This saved a lot of hassle repairing the drywall like I thought I would have to, not to mention a lot of mess!
Thanks!  Would definitely use this company again!

"It went great! Paul Lyons and Logan Washburn did a fantastic job. Our ducts were filthy, including blockages caused by mold and dust; they both worked diligently for hours to get them sparkling clean, including using a chemical to kill any remaining mold. One of the guys showed my husband an issue with our furnace (it was seated incorrectly when installed), and provided a temporary "fix". Making the appointment was quick and easy; everything was explained in a clear and friendly manner. We have noticed improved air flow and much less dust throughout our house since then. Would definitely recommend this company!"

"It went well! The technician explained the process to include showing me how vacuum system worked, and how he would work from the main floor of the home to the basement. Before and after filter reviews by me were completed...an eye opener to see the amount of dust collected!"

FAQs for central vacuum system service projects in Springfield, OH

Common repairs for central vacuum cleaners include motor repair, electrical repair, and blocked filters. Central vacuum motor issues typically come with a burning smell and loss of suction. With these issues, you might need simple lubrication to keep it running smoothly, or for more extreme problems, you could need a motor replacement.

Electrical problems or losing suction strength, might be reasons to swap out electrical components for new ones. However, a local central vacuum repair professional can tell you the best plan of action for your system.

The average cost for central vacuum cleaner repair is $310, though prices can range from $120 to $500. Your total cost will depend on the type of repair needed and the type of central vacuum you own.

A minor motor repair, like lubrication, only costs around $50. However, if you need to replace your motor, you’ll be looking at a much higher price tag with a total of $100 to $500. Other fixes, like electrical work, are charged by the hour, which ranges from $15 to $55 per hour.

The average cost to hire an HVAC contractor is between $50 and $150 per hour if charging hourly. However, some HVAC contractors will charge a flat fee by the type of service they are performing—for example, an inspection can cost between $150 to $500. Keep in mind that emergency repairs—which are made after business hours or around major holidays—generally cost more than scheduled repairs.

Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed HVAC technician could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

The cost for air duct cleaning is about $380, on average. However, costs can range between $270 and $500, depending on location, number of vents, duct accessibility, and how much cleaning is required. Additional factors can impact the cost of cleaning your air ducts, such as removing pests, mold and mildew, asbestos, and other unforeseen needs. Any repairs will also add to the cost of the job.
