"Eco plumbers did a great job cleaning out our main sewer line to the street. Our technician, Trenton, was friendly, knowledgeable, and had our line clear in less than 30 minutes. He tested thoroughly before he wrapped up, and he cleaned up after himself well. The price and 1 year warranty are competitive. I will definitely call Eco again!"

"Jeff at Feldhaus Construction was HIGHLY recommended to us by three friends. We dove into our our complete bathroom remodel, as we wanted the garden tub and tiny shower removed to replace with a very large, tiled shower. It involved a complete tear out, moving of plumbing, then installing our new beautiful tile, half wall, plumbing and paint/finishing. Everything turned out beautifully! We highly recommend Jeff / Feldhaus."

Customers say: Quick response

"I had my oil furnace given a pre-heating season tuneup. Had previously contacted a larger company, but they couldn’t get to me for 5 weeks, well into December. MRO could get me in within days. The technician was prompt, and the work was completed within about 75 minutes, including a run he made to get the proper-size nozzle. I’m impressed and plan to use MRO Mechanical again."

"We had this work done about 3 years ago. We had a leak in our basement since we move into our house in 1984! Wish we had had Everdry fix the leak years ago! We would highly recommend this great company!"

Small jobs welcome

"Jeremy has done excellent job, we had a toy stuck in toilet commode, he used a tool and took it out without need to completely dismantle the commode. He also accepted another task of removing broken pipe on the hose on the spot, I really appreciate Jeremy thanks for excellent work. I highly recommend Jeremy."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Regulations require certified professionals for removals and disposal in compliance with local and federal guidelines, ensuring safety and legality.

If you have an older electrical system with fraying wires and other signs of damage, removal  may be the best course of action. When asbestos begins to break down, it's more likely to become airborne, increasing the risk of health issues when it's inhaled.

However, if the system is in good condition and doesn't have visible signs of wear or damage, leaving it alone may be the safest course of action. An asbestos abatement and removal professional can help you determine the best way to proceed.

If you can locate building records, you may be able simply to see what type of tiles (or bonding agent) was used. Any flooring made between 1950 and 1989 more than likely contains asbestos. Asbestos tiles can also be slightly thicker than other tiles and often measure 9” x 9”, 12” x 12”, and 18” x 18. Black mastic was a commonly used adhesive that contains asbestos.

Federal law doesn’t require homeowners to disclose the presence of asbestos in their home, but some states and local municipalities may require it. That is why it’s important to test an older home for asbestos and other health hazards before moving forward with a sale.

Asbestos is commonly found in certain older homes, depending on the time period in which they were built. Asbestos use in home construction began in the 1920s and peaked after World War II before being limited by legislation in the ’70s, so a house constructed in 1880 is unlikely to contain asbestos, while one built in 1950 is much more likely to. Research a home’s history to determine the time period when it was built and any renovations made since.
