"Joe was great. He was able to provide an estimate of the job by reviewing pics from the home inspection I had and talking over the phone. He also didn't charge a "fee" for the estimate like others wanted to charge me. His tech onsite did great work even though there was a minor leak in 1 of the replaced valves. Once I brought that to Joe's attention he acted quickly to get the issue resolved and my home leak free."

"The company was on top of their game to make sure my shower was exactly how I wanted it. There was a miscommunication with the shower doors and the company took care of it immediately, I am extremely satisfied with the way it was handled."

"We had this work done about 3 years ago. We had a leak in our basement since we move into our house in 1984! Wish we had had Everdry fix the leak years ago! We would highly recommend this great company!"

"There is no other company I would rather use. I called trinity plumbing yesterday for a backed up toilet. Rodney came out the next day and was respectful when advising me of what was going on. He went through the whole repair process with me insuring I knew what was going on the whole time. He fixed it up before I knew it. If you want someone who knows what there doing and wonâ t talk to you like you are dumb cause you donâ t know whatâ s happening look no farther!"

"The work that was provided was performed promptly and the crew leader was responsible and offered some extra interior drain lines due to the fact that the crawl space was extremely open making it very easy to do their work. They did the extra exterior drain line installation per the contract footage pricing to take the sump line to the street curb. very quickly and appearing to be quite well done. The testing of the sump action when they added water to the interior sump pit showed a quick deposit of water into the street. However, I am still seeing evidence of water in the CMU surfaces above elevation of the new interior drain line that was installed. I assume this to indicate that something should have been done at the wall exterior to take water away from the foundation (probably the J-channel installation)."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Since DIY asbestos removal isn’t the best option to save money, there are other steps that you can take to help cut costs when dealing with this project. After speaking with your asbestos removal expert, discuss if encapsulation is an option. If it is, you can save between 15% to 25% on overall project costs over demolition and disposal. In addition, when speaking with your professional, discuss if there are any tax credits available for your removal project. Finally, check with your homeowner’s insurance to see if any removal costs might be covered. However, be aware that this is usually only applicable if the asbestos is due to a covered incident, like a tree falling into your roof.

Federal law doesn’t require homeowners to disclose the presence of asbestos in their home, but some states and local municipalities may require it. That is why it’s important to test an older home for asbestos and other health hazards before moving forward with a sale.

Damaged tiles can release asbestos fibers into the air. Anyone in the surrounding area who may inhale the fibers will have them settled in the lining of internal organs. Over time, it may lead to serious health conditions such as lung cancer and mesothelioma.

The only safe way to prevent these conditions is to avoid exposure to asbestos at all costs, even for a short period of time.

If you have an older electrical system with fraying wires and other signs of damage, removal  may be the best course of action. When asbestos begins to break down, it's more likely to become airborne, increasing the risk of health issues when it's inhaled.

However, if the system is in good condition and doesn't have visible signs of wear or damage, leaving it alone may be the safest course of action. An asbestos abatement and removal professional can help you determine the best way to proceed.

Knob and tube wiring is an older type of electrical wiring that's no longer used and generally not considered safe. However, some homes still have it, or may have a knob and tube wiring system that was incorrectly modified or rigged to work with a modern electrical system. Knob and tube wiring may contain asbestos insulation, but the only way to know is to have the material professionally tested.
