"They came out on time the first time, but 2 weeks later then tenants complained that they were still being bitten by bugs at night to I called again. I was told that what they sprayed was good for months, but he agreed to re-treat the house. About 5 days later he did re-treat the house. It's been about a month since the second treatment and the tenants tell me they are being bitten again at night by bugs (presumably bedbugs). They have lost confidence in this company and so have I. Therefore, I called a different pest control company and will have to pay another fee. I'm not happy with this company."

"Tom and his colleague Nicole were great to work with. Email reminders and fully explaining what they would do including checking out the roof and soffits with a drone. She was friendly and wrote a very complete report. I would recommend them."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

A standard roof inspection usually takes anywhere from 45 minutes to a few hours , depending on the roof's size, complexity, and condition. Make sure you allow enough time for a thorough inspection by asking for a time estimate when you hire your inspector.

Yes, you may still qualify for a home insurance policy if your property doesn't pass an inspection. Your insurer may ask you to resolve certain issues in this situation. Other options are getting a quote from a different company or applying for coverage through your state's Fair Access to Insurance Requirements (FAIR) Plan.

Yes, a pot filler can add value to a home by attracting buyers with its combination of prestige and usefulness. When building or renovating a kitchen, pot filler installation costs can add value without significantly increasing your overall budget. However, it's important to consider the overall design and layout of your kitchen before deciding to install a pot filler. Unlike other parts of the stove, a pot filler may not be used every day. Pot fillers are most appreciated in larger kitchens with a large distance between the sink and stove. In a smaller kitchen with a sink located close to the stove, a pot filler may seem like an unnecessary feature to some potential buyers.

The natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock, and water can cause radon to appear in a home. The gas seeps into homes through cracks in foundations, walls, or floors, as well as through gaps around pipes or construction joints. Radon levels are influenced by soil composition, building materials, and ventilation. Poorly sealed or airtight homes can trap radon, allowing it to accumulate.

Many experts agree on a twice-yearly schedule for DIY foundation checks and professional inspections every one to three years, depending on the condition of your foundation. Visually checking your foundation twice a year will ensure that it is not damaged during severe summer or winter weather events. Extreme temperature changes impact the soil surrounding the foundation, as do lengthy rain storms. Both issues expose the foundation to excessive moisture, which is not good for its overall health and stability. Call a pro if you notice any damage or changes during your DIY check.
