Heine Drone Inspections is a spinoff from Heine Masonry and Heine Construction owned by Herman Heine since 1984. I have extensive experience in home construction and all types of building construction. I am offering a new service for home and business inspections by the use of some of the highest end drones available today. I can inspect all areas of your building from the façade to the highest point of your roof. I use a 12 megapixel camera along with 4 k video. I also have an aerial thermal high resolution camera which can find heat loss and cooling loss on the entire building along with roof leaks. I also offer solar array inspections which can find non working solar cells.

"The job was done right. I had 2 other contractors come to my home and they did not offer the recommendations of repair that Herman Heine did. He had a better plan and acted on it. With the drone he was better able to investigate what needed to be repaired. It was his second pair of eyes so to speak."

"Jay arrived on time and after explaining the process, began the home inspection. He’s was thorough both inside and outside, and from top to bottom, climbing underneath the deck and into the attic, and checking everything in between. Periodically, he would discuss with me some of his observations before continuing to another area. He was very polite and respectful and even removed his shoes when inside. He was able to address all of my questions and also address how certain repairs could be made. He said the report would be ready that evening and it was. The report was thorough and included pictures with an explanation."

"As usual, Dan looked over everything in the home and gave us a realistic view of the state of the property (not too optimistic and not overly pessimistic.) An older home is never going to be in perfect shape, and Dan helped us get an accurate idea of what issues this particular property was facing and when they might need to be addressed. He took all necessary COVID precautions, and was happy to answer all the questions we had for him and provided a wealth of information about systems and issues we were unfamiliar with. This is my 2nd time hiring Dan for a home inspection, and I would definitely hire him again."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

It’s a good idea to be present for a home inspection so the inspector has access to anything they need for the inspection and so you can ask the home inspector questions if necessary. You don’t need to shadow the inspector while they’re conducting the inspection—in fact, it’s better if you don’t—but don’t go too far in case they need access to something or have any questions.

It’s usually not an immediate safety risk to live in a house with foundation problems, but you don’t want to let those problems persist. Most foundation issues don’t lead to a house’s sudden collapse, but they can lead to health issues like mold growth and pest intrusion, as well as problems like uneven floors or rotten beams and joists, which can pose injury risks and be costly to fix.

We recommend scheduling routine plumbing inspections once a year for an average house. Older homes may need more frequent inspections, while newer homes might get by with less frequent inspections—every two years. Homes with many mature tree species known for extensive root systems also benefit from more inspections, as roots are a common culprit for cracked sewer and water lines.

While home mold tests can provide a simple identification of mold presence, they lack accuracy and reliability. These kits may detect mold spores but can't pinpoint the source or identify the type. Professional testing, combined with an inspection, is more comprehensive and leads to actionable next steps.

Yes, if your home inspection reveals issues with the property you intend to buy, you may come up with a counter-offer. Your counter-offer should consider all necessary repairs and how much they’ll likely cost you. It’s important to find a good balance between your desired selling price and asking price to increase the chances of an offer acceptance.
