I was very impressed as he was on time and very professional. Upon my arrival he was already there. As I drove up, he got out of his vehicle and introduced himself and shook my hand firmly which I appreciated. Most men don't give a full handshake to many women and I appreciated that he did which indicated to me that he was about business and being professional while also being friendly.
He started on the outside as he told he had already walked around and looked at everything on the outside and noted what he saw and any problems. he also informed me that he had a guy coming to do the termite inspection as well as a guy to do the aerial view of the roof.
He went through every area of my house with a fine tooth comb. He inspected the bathrooms (3), the bedrooms (3), the basement, kitchen, family/living room, play room and garage. He turned on the dishwasher even though I told him that I was not keeping it. He ran the water in all areas, checked the electric in all parts of the house. He tested the water pressure and then he made recommendations for what should be repaired. He thoroughly checked the basement and the furnace, water heater to ensure that all was running properly. He noted the windows and screens that were on the windows as well as the sliding glass doors and screens.
He noted proper closing of all doors to ensure that they properly closed and opened. He even noticed that there was a small problem with the screen doors and tracks and noted that. He also noted that the sink in the bathroom was running sluggishly and noted that in the report.
In a nutshell he did a thorough job and I would have him do an home inspection for me at any time.
He had the roof surveyed by arial pictures and it was awesome to see the young man that he work with do the topic pictures of the roof. He covered every inch of the roof for which I was grateful since it showed that the roof was in good condition.
In one word, Mr. Elden was excellent and he can do a home inspection for me anytime. I would warmly recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection done.
