"The CDJ team did a great job building us a large hybrid fence (part privacy and part cattle panel). Early on, I sent Chris some photos of what we had in mind for the cattle wire panel section, and he said ?no problem!? The team built exactly what we asked for, and we were impressed by their attention to detail. They did a complete tear-down of our old fence on a Monday, and had the new one - complete with five gates - finished by Saturday, even with a thunderstorm delay. These guys are great, do beautiful work, and really know their stuff! Also, we had decided to splurge on cedar posts, because carpenter bees had turned some of our previous fence posts into Swiss cheese. They made two separate supply runs to get us the thirty-four cedar posts required, which we really appreciate.
We are extremely happy with our fence, an outstanding value, and highly recommend CDJ Remodeling. And we look forward to working with them on future projects."
"The House Doctors LLC were great to work with! They replaced the old wooden boards on my deck, flower box, and window seat with new pressure-treated lumber. They kept me informed, answered all my questions, and stayed true to the original layout and design to retain the look that compliments my home. I highly recommend The House Doctors LLC and would happily hire them again!"
"We were very pleased with Mickey's work from start to finish. We had him pretty much paint our whole first floor with some drywall repair in our downstairs bathroom while installing new doors. Since the project was large, he layed out for us what he would be working on for that day. Mickey was very flexible as we had a handful of requests along the way. My husband and I are already thinking about different projects for the future and know Mickey is who we want to help us with these projects. This was our first "Angie" experience and we were super impressed."
"The handyman process went very well! Chris was able to identify the issue and was able to fix it whilst going the extra mile to make sure that it was done right. I would highly recommend this person for pretty much any home repair project you can think of!"
"Did an excellent job with my baseboards. I could not be happier with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled carpenter."
"Couldn't ask for a more courteous and professional carpenter and installer. He ordered and installed a porcelain sink in less than a week and did a great job."

There are approximately 5.33 board feet in a 2x4. You can use the board foot calculator in this article to easily find the answer. A 2x4 is 2 inches of thickness by 4 inches of width, so you need to find the length, with 8 feet being the most common. You’d use the calculator here to multiply 2 times 4 times 8, and then divide by 12, arriving at a total of 5.33 board feet.
Converting a carport into a garage can vary in difficulty depending on its configuration, the condition of the foundation or slab, and its location relative to the house. The process has a lot in common with a home addition, but you can often skip non-essential finishes like fine flooring, trim work, or even drywall and HVAC. The conversion requires experience with drywall, insulation, and other building materials to ensure it’s done safely and correctly. While it might be possible for a DIYer with the proper tools and skills to do the work, it is a complicated and potentially dangerous job. If you’re new to basic construction, it's best to leave this project to the professionals.
The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.
Framing is the shell of the house. It includes several steps, including studs, plumbing, and electricity. A professional will ensure the wall frame is secured for the house’s structural integrity.
Framing prices change depending on the material and whether the wall is load-bearing. Most contractors use wood to frame a home, but metal is another popular choice.
