"The estimate was a good discussion. He's an Arborist which was really helpful. The work was fast and the next day. The workers friendly and responsive to a request I made. They cleaned up the yard well. Looking forward to the stump-grinding which is scheduled. Thank you very much!"

"Excellent job. Consulted with me every step along the way. The team even picked up a stack of small branches and chipped them for me. Would definitely hire them again."

"Set Apart Tree Service is now our go to tree service. They do an outstanding job and are very knowledgeable! We have spoken to our neighbors about them and we will be giving them more work in the spring. Further, our neighbors will most likely join with us and do their work and ours at the same time. On top of the top notch work, they are very nice!"

"Second job he has done for us and as before very efficient and had plenty of help. Knows his stuff and has excellent safety measures place for all his workers. I would highly recommend. He had to have a crane at one of the sites and got into a very small space between houses. I would have him do any job"

"I have used other Landscapers in the past and have even taken care of my own yard - but it is too much to handle during the fall, because my yard is large and there are a lot of trees.
This fall I was not satisfied with my previous Landscapers service, so I contacted Larry at Luxury Lawn.  Larry's team came out and cleaned up my yard and all of my multitude of leaves.  Everything was neat and clean and I was very happy with the results!

Arborists questions, answered by experts

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

Yes, it’s okay to trim low branches on a tree, also known as limbing up or raising the crown. Essentially, you’ll trim the lower third of the tree (trunk) and leave the upper two-thirds of the tree (crown). Arborists recommend trimming 20% of a tree’s leaves per season for two to three seasons. Trimming low branches allows light to flow through the tree, increasing circulation and making the tree stronger and healthier.

Though summer is not ideal, you can do some light pruning during this time of year. Just make sure it’s not excessive. Vigorous pruning will stress the tree and impact next year’s growth. Generally, August to September are the best summer-pruning months, particularly for fruit trees.

The exact answer to this question depends on which region of the country you’re talking about, but according to various tree counts, some of the most common types of trees in the United States include red maple, Douglas fir, quaking aspen, loblolly pine, and sweetgum.

The amount of time it takes for a tree trunk to rot depends on several factors, including the tree’s size, species, and environmental conditions. It can take anywhere from a few years to several decades for a tree’s trunk to rot. A tree stump, on the other hand, can take up to 10 years to disappear after it’s decayed naturally.
