"We have used  Luxury Lawn Inc. for many years( perhaps 10 or more) during this time they have grown substantially.  We usually receive their contract during the month of March and designate what services we want for the summer season.  We generally trim our own shrubs and ask for a spring and fall clean up of our yard.  This clean up involves removing debris from the winter such as fallen limbs and the remaining leaves that accumulate during the winter.  The fall cleanup includes the removal of leaves from a number of trees that we have.  The monthly maintenance charge is currently about $130.00 per month and the spring clean up has varied from $100.00 to $150.00 and the fall clean ups have been from $160.00 to $240.00 for the past 3 years.  If we need other service such as mulching or bedwork edging, dethatching or aeration we call and set an appt.  They also provide weed and feed services, however, we had been using another company for fertilizing when we started with Luxury Lawn and have continued with that company.

Larry Naso or his crew  come each week rain or shine.  They have heavy duty mowers and it takes about a half hour for them to cut and edge our lawn (our lot is 1/2 of an acre).  When they are done they clean up all of the cut grass and we are very pleased with their work.  We have recommended this company to others.

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It may not be worth it to rake every leaf in your yard, but it’s necessary to remove the majority of leaves to prevent them from smothering grass growth on your lawn. However, raking leaves isn’t your only option for leaf removal. You can remove leaves easily with a leaf blower or compost or mulch them with your lawn mower to repurpose them to help grow your garden or yard.

Peach trees don’t tend to live as long as other types of trees and crops. They tend to last only about 12 years, and you shouldn’t expect to see a full peach harvest each of those years, either. Young peach trees need a few years to get established before they produce fruit, but you should have plenty of peaches for your pies and cobblers during their mature years, around years four through eight.

White vinegar does not kill ivy on trees because its acetic acid concentration is not high enough to overpower it. Vinegar is an effective herbicide for weeds and other plants, but not for the strength of most ivies, including poison ivy and English ivy. You should use an herbicide to kill ivy, such as one with glyphosate, imazapyr, or triclopyr.

Yes, cutting a tree's roots can cause it to fall, particularly if major support roots are severed. In extreme cases, trimming roots can affect the tree's structure and stability. Many crucial roots are located just below the soil's surface. If you make severe cuts to roots more than 2 inches in diameter, you risk impacting the tree's water flow and its ability to withstand severe winds or storms. Even cutting roots less than half an inch in diameter under or outside the tree's canopy can cut off its water supply, causing it to decline, die, and eventually topple.

The safest way to cut down a tree is to make sure you’re completely prepared and have done all the necessary safety checks, including double-checking your equipment is in good working order, you have plenty of clearance to fell the tree, you’re wearing all the safety gear, and you have a partner to help you (who should also be wearing safety gear).
