Dan's crew gutted all 3 and 1/2 bathrooms and the kitchen, then built from the studs out everything we had requested; including installing custom cabinets and all new appliances in the kitchen, custom cabinets and vanities in all the bathrooms, granite countertops, new sinks, tubs, toilets and fixtures in all the rooms. Painted all the rooms, replaced almost all the light fixtures and ceiling fans. They then tiled all the bathrooms, and installed hardwood flooring throughout the entirety of the 3000 sq ft house. This was a mammoth job. Could not have gone better. Always on time, schedules (miraculously) all met even with us living in the house while they worked. You can not go wrong hiring them to do work in your house. He works with an excellent cabinet maker, who designed the space exactly the way we needed it. They even subcontracted a roofer to do roof repair (that we hadn't expected needing). They designed the kitchen layout, then came out after 2 weeks (so the cabinet had everything ready) demoed it all on one day, installed all the cabinets the next day, stained them over 2-3 days, installed the appliances, tiled over 3 days, and painted. A custom kitchen was finished in less than 2 weeks. Only (marginally ) negative was that it would've been nice to have an exact schedule of what they were doing each day, but honestly even that's unrealistic with the scope of what they were doing in our house. A word of caution for those reading reviews of them on here; you need to be realistic about what your budget can do. Some of the reviews unfairly criticize the company or their work, not realizing the product is only as good as your budget will allow. Dan Chipman is pretty good at getting what you need within your target price. He even mentioned to me that he'd rather do "10 kitchens for $30K, rather than one for $150K" (which I think is just good business sense). If you want walnut cabinets and marble counters, you have to say so and be willing to pay for it, not bash the contractor on Angies without doing the job because "his price is high". I also would advise people, regardless of who you hire, to buy the materials yourself (tile, flooring, appliances, granite / quartz / marble counters, sinks, tubs, fixtures,..etc) rather than expect a contractor to know what you want. Dan also put us in contact with very good designers, and suppliers of all the materials so we could pick what we wanted, then did an excellent job of remodeling.

Was so surprised to hear from them so soon in the Spring. They came when they said they would be here and we were lucky to have good enough weather the roof was completed in 4 days. The gutters and leaf relief were done on Sat. as we had some bad weather. Six men came, very personable, worked there butts off and got the job done. Very Happy!!! It looks beautiful! Also, they not only worried about the roof but went into the attic and properly vented by bathroom exhaust fans which should have never passed inspection when house was built. Very professional! Thanks guys!!! Oh, sky light installed also!!!!

Bathroom Fan Installation reviews from real Angi homeowners in Painesville, OH
Dan DeLauro did a great job on the bathroom remodel of an original bathroom from 1947. On time, professional and easy to work with. I will definitely use this company again.
Excellent! We had our fan installed 3 years ago and Ben came right out because water was dripping from our fan. He inspected our attic and roof and everything was sealed. The high winds and rain caused water to get in the cap while the fan was on. Ben came out on a Sunday and didn’t charge us...

As a leading general contractor in Lake and Ashtabula Counties, OH, we've built a reputation for quality work, friendly service, and competitive pricing.
"They were hired to replace a tub, fixtures, and put in tile surrounding the tub with a niche and 2 shelves. We also had them re route a vent pipe in a separate bathroom so that it is past the trap and not letting sewer gases into the home. We were given options for materials based on our budget and guided on who to meet with at the appropriate store to select our materials. The work was done within the timeframe we gave. They did an excellent job making the space beautiful and professionally done. They respected our home and cleaned up better than expected each day. Of course, there were unexpected issues that arose that were dealt with without concern such as having to shore up not plumb walls. The price wasn’t cheap but was reasonable. In all, they did an excellent job."

"Here’s a draft for your review: We recently hired Assurance Factor Electrical while redoing our kitchen. We ran into several unexpected electrical issues that needed to be resolved before we could move forward, leaving us without a functional kitchen. Bill and his team stepped in quickly and addressed everything with incredible efficiency. Their communication was outstanding—Bill explained the work in clear terms and making us feel confident in their process. On top of being skilled professionals, they were friendly, courteous, on time, and genuinely cared about helping us get back on track. Thanks to their quick response and excellent service, our schedule isn’t too far off. If you need reliable and personable electricians, we highly recommend Assurance Factor Electrical!"

Since 1994, the professional electricians at Mr. Electric have been serving residential and commercial customers throughout the US and Canada. We get it right the first time, delivering the most comprehensive electrical services including installation, upgrade, and repair solutions available.
"I had Mr. Electric out to my house on June 19 and showed the electrician, Sean, and his apprentice, Jeff, 4 items that I wanted to have looked at and repaired. Those items were: 1) 2 outlet boxes in a shared wall that were not perfectly aligned so had intermittent grounding 2) an outdoor light replaced with another standard outdoor light that I provided 3) some wiring in a switch checked for safety 4) a suspected weak breaker replaced. After showing them all 4 items, Sean repeated them back to me before giving me a verbal estimate of $662, which seemed reasonable for all 4 items. They were not able to complete the items that day and asked to return. I asked if it was okay to have my parents there instead of me when they returned since I work full-time and Sean agreed. I walked my parents through the list so they understood the work to be completed. Sean and Jeff returned on June 24 and spent approximately 30 minutes in my house. Sean and Jeff only completed 2 of the 4 items but I was billed the full $662. When I got home, my dad walked me through the work. They installed the outdoor light to satisfaction and fixed the grounding issue upstairs by running about 6 inches of cable per outlet to another area of the box. They won’t replace the breaker due to the manufacturer no longer being in business and not wanting to use another manufacturer’s breakers, which I understand from a safety perspective. They also did not rewire the switch. According to my dad, all they did was remove the faceplate and verify the ground even though the issue that was expressed to them was weird jumpering inside the box. On the Mr. Electric website, they state that they offer free safety inspections so I should not have been charged for this. My dad also informed me that Sean claimed he knew nothing about the breaker even though I distinctly remember mentioning it and it being on the verbal list when I received my estimate. I never received a formal written estimate to verify that this was a part of it but as a regular customer of their partner business, Mr. Rooter of Cleveland, this was normal procedure to me. My dad also let me know that even though he had offered to turn off the breakers, Sean did all the work without turning any off. This is a safety concern and is against the NFPA Electrical Code (70E, Article 110.3). I did not initially receive an email statement so I called on June 24 at 4:50pm and requested it because I did not understand why I had been charged the full $662 for only partial work. I was informed the email had failed and they would resend it. When I received the bill, there was a charge for Troubleshoot and Minor Repair (which claims a safety inspection is also included) and a second charge for a ceiling bedroom square. I didn’t have them do any ceiling work so I am not certain what this charge is for. The only note is to hang a customer light. I called back at 5:05pm and asked to speak to someone about the bill. I was told that the manager and Sean were not available but that they would be sent a message to call me. I also marked a zero on a survey I received and received a text that I would be contacted. After not receiving any response, I called back on Wednesday, June 26, at 10:27pm due to shift work and left a detailed voicemail and informed them I would be disputing charges. I made sure to leave both my number and my dad’s should I not be available. To date, I still haven’t received any response. My understanding was that my quote was for all 4 items since before receiving it, Sean had repeated them back to me. 2 of the items were not completed and if I had known I would still be charged the full amount regardless, I would have sought out another electrician. They were in my house for 30 minutes and I understand that electricians charge to the nearest hour or per job but $662 for an hour’s work and <$5 of materials seems absolutely ludicrous. I was previously a satisfied customer of the associated Mr.Rooter Plumbing but after this experience, I won’t be using either business."

The cost of home remodeling is $50,000 for the average homeowner. However, this cost can range anywhere from $3,000 for a small projectto $170,000 for a whole home remodel. Factors like project size, location, and room type all affect your overall cost. For example, bedroom remodeling costs are one of the least expensive projects, costing about $1,500 to $5,500 per bedroom. Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
The cost to install a ceiling fan is $250 on average, ranging from $85 to $605 or more, depending on the fan type and size and if additional wiring or switches are required.
Standard fans are typically the most cost-effective, ranging from $50 to $300 to install. Complex ceiling fans like rotational fans with a dual motor are usually the most expensive to install, ranging from $200 to $1,500. It’s important to note that installing a ceiling fan in a room without existing wiring is a very complex job that could cost up to $2,000.
