  Shawn and the team at Marquard were fantastic! We started talking about our projects months before we actually started on the work. In that time, Shawn was helpful and patient as we navigated through many design options, styles and ideas. I ended up hiring a 3rd party design team (selected on my own) to help me, as I am not an expert in bathroom design and was having trouble making decisions. Although Shawn had not worked with my selected designer before, he was available and courteous to their team and throughout the process. After work began, the 3rd party had dropped the ball many times, and Shawn and his team were there to remedy the situation, even though it was not his responsibility. This was sincerely appreciated, as it kept the work flowing and on schedule. I appreciate the fact that when work starts, the work is primarily focused on our project. This means that there are not large gaps in between work, and the work is done quickly and consistently. Having a background in project management myself, I can't stress enough how much I didn't have to worry about the team showing up and doing the work in the right order. The guys are also fantastic - so much so that we called them part of the family once our job was done! They all take great pride in the work they do and it shows. Our bathrooms are STUNNING! They came out even better than I could've ever imagined. I would hire Shawn and his team again in a heartbeat. Shawn is fair, accommodating and trustworthy.   In 2018 we had our kitchen cabinets completely refaced including countertops, sink, faucet and kitchen drawers. Based on their reviews, American Wood Reface was one of 3 vendors selected for an estimate. We were amazed, considering very strong reviews, that their price was significantly lower than the others. Th sales rep, Mary Jo, was incredible during the presentation, which sealed our decision to go with American Wood Reface. The experience was absolutely wonderful and the kitchen transformation was unbelievable, thanks to our craftsman, Brandon. Brandon is a non stop bunny energizer along with a perfectionist. He definitely takes pride in his work. The end result is a testimonial to his craftsmanship. So, 4 years later we decided to do our 2 upstair bathrooms. Because of the kitchen experience with American Wood Reface we contacted Mary Jo. Once again the same professionalism and commitment to our project was on display. Of course, we did request our craftsman, Brandon, to once again work his magic in the bathroom transformation. He definitely did not disappoint, again delivering on superior results. Couple of footnotes: 1. In the kitchen and bathrooms we replaced granite with Cambria quartz countertops; no comparison, the quartz is a superior product and because of this they offer a lifetime warranty. 2. American Wood Reface offers a limited lifetime warranty, they are local and have been in business for a long time.   I interviewed 3+ contractors for these projects and SemBro, by far, had the most professional, comprehensive proposal of all of the prospective contractors. Some of the key distinguishing factors were: SemBro listened to me as I explained my vision for each space; Their proposal was laid out in an easy to understand manner so I knew how much each aspect of project would cost and what each party's responsibilities would be; SemBro has staff to perform all aspects of the project (some contractors I talked to didn't handle room painting, for instance.) Finally, SemBro has a large showroom that displays samples of every facet of the project making it much easier to see how the elements would work together. I was assigned a Designer (Mariya) from their staff and she worked closely with me as we selected each item that would be needed for the renovations. Once the renovations got underway, each phase was professionally orchestrated according to what needed to be done and in what sequence. The craftsmen are highly skilled and took pride in their work. Everything was extremely professional and transparent. It was so exciting to see each area of my house transformed into a beautiful living space! When small miscommunications occurred, as is bound to happen with so many projects going on simultaneously, SemBro handled the issues with tremendous courtesy and grace.   The entire process from the initial meeting and sales, to the person coming to measure the kitchen and counter top, to the counter top installers and finally to the primary rehab specialist Jeff, could not have gone better. Everyone exhibited a great deal of professionalism, and cooperation. I was completely taken aback by the level of skill and eye for perfection exhibited, especially from Jeff.   We bought a house that needed a lot of work while living across the country. We needed the house remodeled before we moved in which felt like a daunting task in managing it from afar. We engaged 3 contractors to receive a bid. Sembro's took the longest to receive but for good reason. Theirs was the only one that included 3D designs. It was also helpful that they had a show room to see products in person. Paul was great to work with. Construction started and ended relatively on time. Near the end of the project we nitpicked several items we wanted addressed before officially closing the project which they took action on fast. Absolutely no problems in getting them to come over and address any issues or concerns. Very happy with all the work that was completed and would not hesitate to hire again. Only gripe I would have is how they handled the referrals we passed along to them. One project they closed on and completed a kitchen remodel. We never received a "thanks" or acknowledgment of the added business we provided them. We also passed them onto another friend to provide a quote and they ended up being ghosted. Really oddshow more
