Shawn and his team did a fantastic job - from the first meeting until our project was complete!

Perfection, that's all I can say. Every job, big and small, were absolutely done to perfection. We love our new kitchen island and fireplace mantle. Right down to putting up ceiling fans, installing shower grab bars and adding an electrical outlet....all done with care and precision. Shawn is so easy to work with and such a sweet guy. We will definitely hire Shawn and his team again!

There's no company I would recommend more for home remodeling projects. Shawn and his team give you a fair price, show up on time, keep the work area clean, and do great work. We had him put up a wall to create an office in the basement as well as put in a new basement bathroom. My wife and I couldn't be happier and are on the schedule to have him do our upstairs shower as well.

Shawn and the team at Marquard were fantastic! We started talking about our projects months before we actually started on the work. In that time, Shawn was helpful and patient as we navigated through many design options, styles and ideas. I ended up hiring a 3rd party design team (selected on my own) to help me, as I am not an expert in bathroom design and was having trouble making decisions. Although Shawn had not worked with my selected designer before, he was available and courteous to their team and throughout the process. After work began, the 3rd party had dropped the ball many times, and Shawn and his team were there to remedy the situation, even though it was not his responsibility. This was sincerely appreciated, as it kept the work flowing and on schedule. I appreciate the fact that when work starts, the work is primarily focused on our project. This means that there are not large gaps in between work, and the work is done quickly and consistently. Having a background in project management myself, I can't stress enough how much I didn't have to worry about the team showing up and doing the work in the right order. The guys are also fantastic - so much so that we called them part of the family once our job was done! They all take great pride in the work they do and it shows. Our bathrooms are STUNNING! They came out even better than I could've ever imagined. I would hire Shawn and his team again in a heartbeat. Shawn is fair, accommodating and trustworthy. This is a review for Marquard Home Improvement & Remodeling for work done back in 2018. We hired them to do house renovations (removing wall paper, removing carpet, fixing hard wood floor, painting, completely renovating bathroom, replacing front door). Shawn and his team were fantastic! The renovations were for my parents' house. Shawn communicated very well (especially since my parents don't speak good English, so Shawn and his team communicated with my siblings and me). He and his team were very patient, and they worked with us regarding details for the renovation throughout the project. The quality of the work was fantastic. I still hear my parents compliment it to this day (two years after the work was done). I highly recommend Marquard Home Improvement & Remodeling for house renovation work.

Shawn and crew were professional. Any questions/concerns I had were answered promptly. Work was completed in the time frame promised.

Through our own doing, this project did not move forward. We met with 3 other contractors prior to meeting Shawn and picked him based on his professionalism, honesty, promtness with coming out and replying to requests, as well as his sense of humor. He also makes allowances if you buty your own bathroom fixture like vanity, toilet etc.; which is awesome! Shawn was great and we will for sure contact him for any other project needed. Have already recommended him to others.

Shawn and his men are true professionals. From our first meeting with Shawn until the job was done it was a positive experience. The job was completed in a timely manner and within budget. All materials were here as needed so there was no pause in the job while someone had to go get something. Shawn was on top of it all the way. Both Shawn and Rocco (our crew man) were very responsive. Always answered the phone or called back. Showed up on time every day. Even when I made a last minute change, Shawn never missed a beat. I decided I wanted wainscoting when the job was almost done and he never missed a beat. Next day he delivered wainscoting. The attention to detail was wonderful and they never left the house without cleaning up each day. I would highly recommend Shawn Marquard to a friend, and will call him for any needs in the future.

Shawn Marquard and his team came into an existing project after another contractor quit on us. he was thorough, agreeable, priced realistically, responsive, and finished on time and within budget. they did so many little extras along the way. this was out first experience with such a project and we plan on using Shawn and the guys for a master bath facelift soon.

We were pleased not only with the quality of the completed work, but the comfort we felt having the Marquard staff in our home. We would definitely hire this company for any remodeling or repairs in the future.

MARQUARD HOME IMPROVEMENT & REMODELING was amazing from the beginning interview to the final touches. Shawn was always on time and on budget. He saw our vision, suggested further improvements and then ran with it to help us to achieve our perfect kitchen we have waited over 20 years for. The work performed was professional and meticulous, when something went wrong he was here to make it right. The crew was very knowledgeable and approachable for questions or concerns. Our kitchen was done as promised and on time.

They couldn't have been more professional and thorough. The work exceeded our expectations and the finished product looks amazing (and the backsplash is a total show-stopper!)

Shawn was professional and friendly. His quote was within my budget and his team was able to begin the work prior to the date he originally gave me. The team (including Shawn) arrived the first day on time, and proceeded to complete the work within the time frame. They were professional, did not leave a mess, and made sure that the work was acceptable to me. I would definitely recommend Marquard Home Improvement for renovations and will be using the company again.

Shawn and his entire crew were exceptional. They arrived on time everyday for the entire 10-week renovation. They provided excellent service, quality and went the extra mile suggesting ways to both save money but also make sure the end result was everything we wanted it to be. They were professional, always cleaned up at days end and their craftsmanship was A+.

As with our previous experience with Marquard Home Improvement and Remodeling, everything went very well. Always on time and there was maybe one day they didn't/couldn't work. This job took over two weeks, but we wanted the work done right and I'm very satisfied with the results. My only issue was that I didn't ask for and wasn't given any of the instructions/papers for the faucets, lights, etc. in case I need to make repairs in the future.

It was a pleasure working with Shawn. He and his employees were all very prompt, courteous and did excellent work. Have already hired him again to do work at my son's house. I would definitly recommend Marquard Home Improvement to everyone.

I was very impressed with the work they performed. They were able to get the job scheduled and completed in a timely manner and the ceiling looked as good as new after they retextured it. The 220v was moved just as asked as well.

Shawn and his workers were all professional, courteous, and punctual. The quality of work was excellent and they were pleasant to talk to and work with. We would recommend Shawn to anyone remodeling a bathroom or kitchen.

WHAT WORK? I received the work estimate promptly, but that was it. I emailed Shawn with a couple of questions. He responded in a few days, but failed to answer the questions. So, I sent him another email. He never responded. So, I called him and he had no answers for me at that time, but said he would call me the following day. He never called. In my opinion, this is an incredible lack of professionalism. I can't believe someone can stay in business doing this. You'll not that I'm not the only Angies List member who has made similar posts. Shawn's lack of professionalism and respect for potential customers is appalling. We are using someone else for this project and all others in the future. And Shawn, if you read this, know that you really missed out since we're also having our entire house interior painted, bathroom remodeled, and basement finished within the next year. A more professional company will be handling this work for us.

We had the master tub/shower combo taken out and replaced with a tiled walk-in shower, new vanity, double sinks, new toilet ,tile floor and new paint.The suppliers Shawn Marquard used, Wolff Bros., U.S. Marble & Granite, Glass Doctor were all very helpful & knowledgable. Shawn, along with Ken & Rocco were very professional and I would not hesitate having them do other work for me. We did have a small problem with a few floor tiles but they were fixed the day after I called. I would highly recommend this company, they did a fantastic job. .

WE CONTACTED MARQUARD TO GET AN ESTIMATE ON OUR HOME REMODEL. I RECEIVED AN INITIAL RESPONSE TO MY INQUIRY, BUT THEY NEVER CALLED BACK TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT.

The contractor was professional, courteous and punctual. His price seemed to be fair for the proposed work. Due to unexpected circumstances with my husband passing I was unable to use his services.

We're very satisfied with the work. There are a couple of things that need to be resolved, but the owner is going to get it fixed. I have no problem with them. The thing that stands out the most for me is they're on time everyday, and they left every day after working eight hours. They put in a full day and they worked.
