"the job took to long, was not properly cleaned up and I think the price was to high. It took 3 days to finish a 1 day job and caulking was left inside and all over my water hose and wall outside. It took over 2 hours to clean up and there is still dried up caulk inside the utility closet and the outside wall. The person doing the job could hardly walk said he had pain in his leg and said he could not bend down. He did not have any thing to clean up the mess ( rags, vacuum, etc ). There are globs of caulking in the utility closet and he could not sand all of it. This was a poor job overall and with the mess left I really feel there should be some kind of refund for this job. Depending on how much adhesive was used as well as the strength of the adhesive, you may have some drywall damage when removing a mirror. You can typically repair most drywall damage if it’s small by sanding the damaged area, applying spackle to smooth the damaged section so it’s flush with the rest of the wall, and repainting the area.

If your home was built before the 1940s and was not remodeled in the past 50 or so years, you probably have plaster walls. Aside from assuming, there are some practical ways to tell if you have plaster walls, including the following: If you knock on the wall and it feels solid, not hollow, if you can’t insert a thumbtack easily, if there are cracks that look like spiderwebs, or if your home has curved, arched, or swirled walls, doorways, or window openings.
