"Jaime is simply the best. I’m unexpectedly moving and needed to get my house on the market. i had a huge list of improvements and repairs to get done to get my house show-ready. He did everything i needed from painting to plumbing to electrical and my long list of “honey-do’s”. He was neat, tidy and efficient. His workmanship is impeccable. I would not hesitate to recommend Jaime for any repair you need. Thanks, Jaime - you’re a lifesaver!"

"Inspector was on time and very professional.  I certainly got my money's worth from the inspection.  Lots of useful information. No

high pressure sales tactics or dire predictions if I did not do all suggested work - just good solid information and a priority list of what was most important to address.  Options were given on possible methods of repair and the pros and cons of each was discussed.  All questions were answered and the inspector was very informative.  He took the time to be very thorough and I definitely recommend this provider to anyone who is considering foundation or basement work.

"I have had issues with my A/C unit for a few years. When I originally got it checked out, the guy said that there is a leak that cannot be found, that he will keep recharging my unit it, but eventually I'm going to have to buy a whole new one. Replacing my A/C and installation would have cost me $5K and upwards. I had United Renovations Group come out and within an hour they knew exactly what was wrong. They replaced my condenser, cleaned, and recharged my unit for an extremely cheap price. They are a new business, trying to get there name out there. And they are definitely worth looking into. They are motivated, hardworking, and dedicated to their work. And I would trust them with any of my contractor needs."

"

Very happy with the results.  We needed various things done to give us greater organization and space in the garage and mud room.  Danny was very professional and knocked them off one-by-one.  I was pleased he was able to remove the old cabinets above my washer and dryer without moving the appliances. I had prepped the area by putting carpet on the appliances and taping a tarp over them.  Our new shelves look great, and you would never know a built in desk had been there previously.  I was sorry he could not fix a pocket door that had broken inside the wall but am not yet ready to cut the wall open.  We did do some discussion beforehand on the specific work I wanted done so he came prepared and I had the space and items ready.  Will likely use D Stephens again.

"Initially, there was some problems making a connection. However, he was able to come out today to fullfill the deal. He arrived on time and got the work done. He even trimmed a tree for me hanging over the roof. He also repaired the leak in the roof. He also cleaned up everything, which I thought was very nice."

Gate Repair questions, answered by experts

The obvious disadvantage of an automatic gate is that it runs on electricity. If the power goes out, it won’t open or close unless there’s a manual override. Many homeowners will need a backup generator so they don’t get stuck on either side of the gate, particularly when looking to park a vehicle. Automatic gates are also much more complicated than manual gates, with tech-heavy components that make them more expensive to repair.

You don’t need a permit for an automatic gate in most cities because it isn’t a structural change to your home, but you need to check. A pro can help you with this and since we don’t recommend installing an automatic gate yourself, you should already be in contact with one, making this a frictionless question. Outside of permit requirements, you need to consider your homeowners association (HOA), as some are against gated homes.

This largely depends on the layout of your property and your preferred walking route to various entryways. Take your time figuring out the perfect spot for the gate to avoid difficulties later on. With all this said, the best place to put a gate is an area free from obstructions that offer the shortest route to your house.

Yes, most electric and automatic gates can be opened manually. They are equipped with a manual override or release mechanism that detaches the motor from the gate, allowing it to be moved by hand. This feature is essential during power outages or other emergencies.

To activate the manual override, you will typically need a specific key or tool. In some cases, you may also need a screwdriver to remove a cover to access the release mechanism. The use of a key is a common security measure to prevent unauthorized individuals from manually opening the gate.

Because every model is different, it is highly recommended to consult your gate's user manual to familiarize yourself with the specific procedure before you need to use it. Keep any necessary keys or tools in an accessible location. Be aware that automatic gates can be very heavy, so opening and closing them manually may be difficult.

In North America, electric gates are also subject to the UL 325 Standard for Safety, which includes provisions to allow emergency responders to access the property.

Yes, professionals can install gates with locking mechanisms and access control systems for added security.
