"I had a great experience with the company and the guys who did the work.  Their estimate was in the mid-range of the various companies I'd contacted.  I went with them because they seemed friendlier and more professional than some others, and were very willing to work with my insurance company (which covered the cost of repairing the chimney needing serious repair).  It was winter, and quite chilly, and I have a very tall house, so most of the time they were here the workers were either setting up or pulling down their scaffolding.  The chimney work itself went quickly, and was done well.  They even did a minor job in my basement, at the base of the chimney, at no extra charge, after I'd asked them their opinion on what I should do regarding the accumulation of brick dust in a few areas.

I'd give a B for the price simply because this kind of work seems much more expensive than it ought to be.  I don't think Klaene overcharged me personally, though.  And I'd give them a B for responsiveness because the company took quite a while to set a project start date.  The weather was the major reason for that.  It was either snowy, or very windy, during the early part of the year, but I still think that Klaene could have stayed in better touch about their scheduling concerns.

Nevertheless, these are pretty minor complaints given the quality of their work.  I've since recommended them to a neighbor as well."

"Excellent work from start to finish. My father was a mason, so I know great work when I see it. First, they brought in a tear-down team to remove the chimney down to the first-floor roof level of our two-story house. After which, they rebuilt the chimney to original height installing approximately 900 new bricks using a new Type N mortar. They installed a new 5" thick concrete crown with a 2" drip edge and an expansion joint. They replaced all accessible sections of fireplace clay flue tile extending 4" - 6" above the concrete crown. Installed new stainless steel chimney cap. Installed 2 sets of new step and counter flashing. Installed 2 sets of new ice water shields and shingles as needed. Cleaned and weather sealed chimney entirely upon completion. After the chimney rebuild was done, the Mason, Seth, and his crew cleaned the work site, to include the whole driveway. They are a very efficient and thorough team. I understand that they like to leave the customer's house and yard as clean or better than they find it."

"The workers and office staff were easy to talk to, well informed, courteous , and efficient. They performed a thorough inspection. Recommended and installed a stainless liner and cap for the furnace flue and a new damper on the fireplace flue. Their price was better than previous quotes and even set up a partial payment plan. I needed shower floor tile "cleaned and re-grouted" where needed and Robert understood "clean tile and grout". At no extra charge to me he went and got grout and re-grouted where needed. Took them extra time and money but did not charge me more than estimate! Would hire again for other cleaning projects which they said they do."
