After which, they rebuilt the chimney to original height installing approximately 900 new bricks using a new Type N mortar. They installed a new 5" thick concrete crown with a 2" drip edge and an expansion joint. They replaced all accessible sections of fireplace clay flue tile extending 4" - 6" above the concrete crown. Installed new stainless steel chimney cap. Installed 2 sets of new step and counter flashing. Installed 2 sets of new ice water shields and shingles as needed. Cleaned and weather sealed chimney entirely upon completion. After the chimney rebuild was done, the Mason, Seth, and his crew cleaned the work site, to include the whole driveway.
