Customers say: Super punctual

"Awesome company and great value. I called Nature Boy Wildlife late in the morning about a bat in my attic that I saw on a camera I had placed to see what kind of critter we had. Matt came out the same day and spotted the bat and also showed me evidence of mice. He spent quite a bit of time crawling around the entire perimeter of the attic to identify two possible entry points for the bat(s) and also set bait boxes in strategic locations for the mice. Rather than remove the bat, he set up a bat watch for that night to see how many bats exited--it was just the one. Matt and Alex came by two days later and found and removed the bat. Then they sealed both entrances, cleaned up all the bat crap, and disinfected the entire attic--both the attic over the garage and over the second floor. They were prompt, polite, concerned about our problem, and kept me totally informed, including phone calls to keep me updated on the visit schedules. I highly recommend Nature Boy Wildlife. They are honest, fair, and just nice people to work with."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Pest control and wildlife removal are different services. Pest control specialists typically handle insects and bugs, often using chemicals and poisonous sprays for extermination. Wildlife removal professionals, on the other hand, focus on larger animals. They prioritize humane methods like trapping and relocation, using poison only as a last resort. For insect problems, contact a pest control professional; for issues with other animals, an animal or wildlife removal specialist is the correct choice.

Certain strong smells may help repel bats, though this is not a foolproof method and is best used in conjunction with other deterrence strategies. Scents like peppermint oil, eucalyptus, cinnamon, cloves, and mint are often suggested as natural remedies. To create a spray, you can mix two cups of warm water with half a cup of sugar and a few drops of your preferred essential oil. Apply this mixture using a spray bottle to possible entry points and throughout the affected area, such as an attic. While this home remedy is popular, evidence supporting its effectiveness is limited.

No, you shouldn’t have to worry about bats in your yard as long as they don’t make their way inside your house. Typically, bats hang around backyards in order to consume bugs, especially if they’re located in the U.S. Bats that are native to North America can consume more than 500 bugs per hour, so they may actually benefit your yard if mosquitoes are prevalent.

If you’ve had a prior bat infestation or simply want to avoid having bats invade your home in the first place, there are a few steps you can take without the need for a pro.

  • Seal entry points, such as where your chimney meets your house, or other gaps or holes exist.

  • Use bat deterrents like bright lights or ultrasonic devices to force them away from your home.

  • Reduce bat attractions like standing water and bird nectar feeders inviting bats into your yard.

Yes, many services include cleanup and sanitization to remove droppings and odors. Confirm with your provider.
