"Excellent! Dan was quick to respond to my request. We had a major backyard landscape overhaul last year after having approx 20 diseased trees removed. We hired a professional landscaper to bring more design to the existing mess that was created. Our previous woods was transformed into a park like effect surrounding our waterfall. The existing lighting did nothing to accent the backyard, Dan literally transformed the picture showcasing our waterfall, newly installed pine trees and native trees to create a serene peaceful space to enjoy our new landscape in the evenings. Dan was prompt, working within my timeframe and keeping me informed of the project and his schedule up to installation. Thank you Dan...you are the MAN!"

"I have had a major water problem with my yard for a very long time. Last year I hired a landscape company to grade and re-seed my yard. They took out more dirt than they added. It was a total disaster. My neighbor recommended that I call Bruno's Landscaping who has been in or area for years. I called and talked with Dan in late fall of 2018. Dan suggested that I needed 60 yards of top soil to remedy my several little lakes in my yard. We agreed to do it in spring of 2019. Well we had too much rain all spring to do the yard. I told Dan that I would wait until middle of August. Glad I did. Dan and his crew came on August 14th. Dan used his skid steer to level out my yard. He definitely knew what how to grade my yard with that machine. He even removed old tree branches from the yard. I planted Lesco Team Mate Plus Grass Seed. The results are better than I could have expected. If you want a professional grade and seeding this is the company to use. Very affordable also. Totally Satisfied with Dan and his crew. Terry, Olmsted Twp. Ohio"

"Despite telling them to arrive at 10 am, they arrived at 9 am. Not a big issue, but we had to leave and come back. Although they did a lot of work, the quality could have been better. We are going to have to still hire someone else to make our yard presentable."

"Really happy with how our fire pit patio turned out. NP Landscaping did a great job from start to finish. The work was completed quickly and the quality speaks for itself. Juan in particular was fantastic to work with. He was responsive, easy to communicate with, and made the whole process stress-free. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. Would definitely recommend NP Landscaping to anyone looking for reliable, quality landscaping work."

"Cory and his mate did a fantastic job on removing this willow tree that was dead and uprooted leaning over from powerful winds we’ve been having! I highly recommend them for any landscaping needs you may have!"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

A full backyard renovation can cost between $15,000 and $50,000, depending on the scope of the project. Excavation, materials, and labor costs all contribute to the final cost of updating your outdoor spaces, and expensive features like a pool, a fence, or hardscaping carry a high price tag.

The best landscaping for a septic drain field is shallow-rooted grass or native vegetation that helps prevent soil erosion while allowing water to evaporate efficiently. Avoid planting trees, shrubs, or deep-rooted plants near the drain field because the roots can infiltrate pipes and cause blockages. Using mulch or gravel sparingly can also help retain moisture and protect the system without restricting airflow.

The landscaping elements that add the most value are often the basics. A well-maintained, attractive lawn can have a return on investment (ROI) of up to 217%. Routine lawn maintenance, such as edging and mulching, can provide an ROI of over 100%. Other high-value projects include upgrading your front walkway, which can offer a 100% ROI, and planting trees. Projects like adding decks, patios, outdoor lighting, irrigation systems, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens also add value and enjoyment, though their direct financial ROI may be less than 100% in some cases.

How much 4 yards of dirt will cover depends on how deep you want the soil to be. In general, a yard of dirt will cover 324 square feet for a 1-inch depth or 100 square feet for a 3-inch depth. Therefore, you can expect 4 yards to cover between 400 and 1,296 square feet if you keep your soil depth between 1 and 3 inches.

If you don’t like the way your empty drainage ditch looks, reach out to a local landscaping professional to discuss your options. They may be able to liven it up with plants, stones, bushes, or other decorative elements. You can also add your own landscaping, but you should first make sure that it won’t block your ditch or prevent it from operating effectively.
