"BUYERS BEWARE!! I am posting our horrible experience and the results here, so others are forewarned and do not experience the same. My husband and I hired SRS Construction (Blue Cardinal Construction), Don Caudill Jr, owner, and project manager, to renovate our first and forever home. He presented a contract for the scope of the project, guaranteeing completion before summer’s end. The renovation process began June 1st and as of today is still NOWHERE near completion. During the process we were left for 21 days with NO sanitation, potable water, HVAC, and limited electricity. Several requests were made on estimated time of completion for the essentials of working utilities since we have three young children, my elderly father living with us and multiple animals. SRS Construction owner Don Caudill’s hired subcontractors to complete the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. After the work was “complete” we noticed several red flags. We hired licensed independent companies to come evaluate the work done by SRS Construction’s Don Caudill. Based on their findings all electrical, HVAC and plumbing are not up to Ohio code and unsafe. SRS Construction left our home with the following: structural damage to the roof, ceiling and basement stairway, multiple electrical fire hazards in the attic and basement, 10+ unworking outlets, improper duct work and several other areas of unfinished work. We paid $54,000 to SRS Construction’s owner Don Caudill for contractual work, and it is incomplete. The company has not replied to my request or the Better Business Bureau’s request to fix the damaged structural ceiling, stairwell, electrical and HVAC."

He quickly diagnosed the issue with my lawn sprinkler system, explained the problem to me in terms that I could easily understand, and with my consent, fixed the problem in record time. I'm impressed with his competence, delightful attitude, and honesty. I highly recommend him and his company."

"Steven was seemingly nice. We hired him through Angie’s list, but he wanted cash. I came home from work and there was a 10-12 year old child helping him do the work. They not only left the job partially done, but they destroyed FOUR large tiles and left huge cuts and cracks from the tile saw. The job was done so poorly that I was horrified to call this contractor back. We left with an even more destroyed floor with far more damage. The original tile pattern has been discontinued so we cannot even replace the custom tile. Stay away from this very sketchy guy and his under aged chile"

"Nick did a fabulous job on our basement remodel. His craftmanship and creative problem solving really helped transform a challenging space in our 100+ year home. While there are many good contractors and carpenters out there, what sets Nick apart is his excellent communication skills and willingness to incorporate our ideas into the project in a way that combined our vision for the project and Nick's technical expertise to create a beautiful update to our home. Nick did a great job keeping us in the loop as the project was going and always was clear about any issues he encountered and potential ways to address them. We added a good number of additional components to the job and he was able to effectively address all aspects of the project (plumbing, electric, HVAC, dry wall, insulation, etc.) really well and keep things moving along with minimal disruptions. He is very detailed in his final trim and door work and definitely knows how to make things look very good! He did a great job with clean up too and was very helpful with material sourcing to achieve our desired look and style. I highly recommend him to friends and family and look forward to seeing what he will accomplish as he continues to build his business."
