Casillas Construction

Casillas Construction personnel are vey knowledgeable, efficient, tidy, friendly, and do excellent work.  They do not work for free, but they will be back this fall (2013) do several more projects for me.

He is very honest.  He has great knowledge and if he is uncertain he will find out the proper answers through manufacturers.  He goes the extra mile instead of saying "I can't do it" or "you need to repalce it".  He is my go-to guy when needing things done.

Removed all the old kitchen, took down walls, reinforced beams, insulated walls, installed new hickory hardwood floors. Installed KraftMaid cabinets, all new appliances, and he created a stove hood to match the cabinets. We are so pleased.

I found that the ceiling was damp, downstairs below our master bathroom. I called Mike regarding the situation, and he showed up the next day to determine what the problem was and give me an estimate on repairs. He cut out a small section of the ceiling downstairs and determined that the problem was not related to the drain or faucet valves. He then used a probing camera to run aound the sides of the tub from below, and determined that the leak was starting from some hairline cracks in the tub's surrounding tilework. He determinied that the drywall behind the tile was not saveable, and gave me an estimate on removing the tile/drywall around the tub, and replacing it with concrete backer board and new tile. He showed up the day after I accepted the estimate, and got right to work. He removed and installed a new shower surround using 12" by 12" tiles that we picked out, a new faucet valve, new faucet and shower hardware. He also repaired the drywall ceiling downstairs, and left it ready for me to paint.

Called Mike to request an estimate on getting a toilet replaced while also replacing the sub-floor in the bathroom because the toilet wasn't properly attached to the floor and had begun leaking. He came out the next day and looked at the problem and gave me an estimate. The estimate included taking out the existing toilet, replacing the sub-floor that had been damaged by a previous water leak, replacing drains that were run with the incorrect type of plastic drain tile, and re-setting the toilet. Mike came out the next afternoon, between other jobs, and began working on the job. He removed the toilet, cut out and replaced the sub-floor, and re-ran all the drains that day. He left for the day and let me tile the bathroom with the tile of my choice, and returned the next day to reset and toilet and replace the water supply shutoff valve.
