Mr. Ashby was professional, timely, and did quality work. He kept me informed every step of the way. I am very happy with the work he did. I've waited to write a review so I can attest that his work lasts; it has been about 5 months and everything is working splendidly. Excellent work! I was and am so impressed by the quality of the work. Pat helped me pick out the correct door (insulation wise) and he was meticulous installing the door. I was delighted. Ashby created a serene and stylish space and gave us some very good advice regarding lighting and furnishing . . . he really has an artist's eye. The work was done in a timely manner, with efficient use of the budget and existing features. We really loved his attitude toward his work and his responsiveness to our needs.

Pat Ashby is a perfectionist. It is fortunate that he is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of building and the costs involved. Our new living room is amazing. It is chic, light, open and very up-to-date in a classy way. We sold our house in 4 days because his work is superb. In addition, he stayed will within our budget and time requirements. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with him and look forward to doing more!

Beautifully! Pat Ashby took our dark, cramped and out of date kitchen and transformed it into a gorgeous, modern, light-filled one that everyone loved. He added storage and work space, using many clever ideas to stay within our budget. He is efficient, reliable and knowledgeable. We will not hesitate to call on him to help us remodel other rooms in our house.

The door was installed and works well

Pat was great, especially making sure they had secure bolts on them, which made me feel safer. When I had my new windows installed, one of the men who went in & out of the house several times, said "I don't know who installed these doors, but he sure did a great job". I definitely agree

It went great. There are always some problems that arise when installing floors, but Pat knew exactly how to handle anything that came up. I was amazed how he lined up the planks perfectly with the floors that the other company had installed. He doesn't quit until he knows everything is right;

Pat helped me pick out various items when I had a hard time deciding what to pick, and the results were great. The bathrooms are exactly what I wanted, and look better than I had ever expected.

I can't thank Pat enough for the excellent work he did throughout my home. As a first time home buyer and not a lot of "handy man" experience I would have been in over my head without the advice and help from Pat in several faucets of my home. Pat not only does great work, but he is an even better man. Not once did I worry about Pat being in my home all day without anyone home for days at a time. Pat is very meticulous in his work and went the extra mile to make sure the home was safe and would prevent future problems. The bathroom looks like a million bucks and it was done on a budget. The quality of his work is second to none. Pat was always punctual, courteous, and great to be around. For any future projects or questions I will be sure to give Pat a call. Pat did excellent job remodeling our hall bath and master bath. He replaced tub and fixtures and did nice tile job. In master bath too, he replaced tiles/toilets and regrouted to look like new. He keeps everything clean while working and confirms before doing something to make sure we are ok.

I like that he sticks to his estimates given and does not cut corner while performing task.  He wants to make sure it's complete and nice according to his standard (And his standard is better !!!).

He completed all the tasks he promised in the beginning of the contract and few more minor handy work jobs for me, so I did not have to call somebody else and pay more. I definitely recommend him. He knows everything looks like :)

Patrick Ashby stopped by on a Thursday night to quote and installed two days later on a Saturday.  Everything went very well! I received quotes from several plumbers and his bid was the most cost competitive by far.  He was also able to install the electric outlet where some of the others required a separate electrician to handle that.  Also, most of the other quotes required the install to happen during normal business hours M-F 8-5.

Pat did an excellent job re-doing our master bathroom. He stayed on budget and completed everything he said he was going to do. The new shower is beautiful, he did excellent tile work. He was very nice and respectful to have around the house.

I woke up Friday morning 2/19 with water ever where because my water heater was leaking every where, I called pat Ashby. He was able to put aside his other plans and come out Saturday morning and install a brand new water heater so that no damage would happen to my house. This is the second time I have hired pat to do a job and I am impressed with his work and the care he puts into everything he does. Pat is defiantly my go to guy from now on.

Pat is a perfectionist and always does the job right. He gets to the root of a problem and fixes that before moving forward to make sure no future problems arise. He does beautiful work with ceramic tiling, installing kitchen cabinets and counter tops, as well as window and drywall installation and repair. He always goes the extra mile to make sure the customer is more than happy with the result and that the price is fair. We highly recommend Pat Ashby for any household remodeling or repair.

We cannot say enough good things about Pat Ashby. He is truly a dedicated professional who has the talent to complete a wide array of projects around your home. Pat really came to our rescue when our originally hired contractor quit on us a few hours into the job. We explained our situation to Pat and he quickly tried to fit the job into his already packed schedule. Pat arrives early and on time. Like the other reviews mention, he really is a perfectionist and his eye for detail shows. We appreciated the fact that he completed this project the same way he would have done if it were for his own home. We will continue to recommend him to friends and neighbors as he goes above and beyond for his customers.

He fit me in to his busy schedule. And worked me in within a week of me first calling him. He did exceptional work and was willing to take the time to explain everything he was doing. Also I called a dozen different places before reaching Ashby home repair and the all quoted me a price of double the amount that I paid with Ashby home repair. Also Mr Ashby took pride in his work and made sure that everything was kept clean and neat and was willing to dispose of the old sinks and faucets for me .

We primarily needed someone to repair a leak in our shower.  Initially I contacted three companies on Angie's list for quotations.  Only one kept their appointment and was really only interested in a complete bathroom remodel rather than fixing the existing shower which was not in our budget.  I contacted three more companies and this time Pat Ashby responded right away.  I called rather than emailed him as his profile requests.  He came to the house the following evening and assured me that the shower leak could be repaired and explained to me in detail where he thought the leak was and what he would do to ensure it was repaired correctly including replacing the old linoleum with ceramic tile as the linoleum had to be partially removed to repair a water damaged floor board underneath.  Additionally I asked Pat to quote some other items that needed attention around the house including repairing a hole in the drywall, installing a ceiling fan, replacing a rusted exterior door, repairing the grout and replace the caulk in the shower he would repair plus around our second bathroom tub.  After measuring, calculating materials, etc. Pat quoted me pricing on the spot for all of the items we had discussed he also provided a  time-frame to complete the work.  Ultimately Pat completed the project on budget and on schedule with minimal interruption to our family's daily routine.  He kept his work areas tidy and did most of the dusty/dirty work in the garage to minimize dust in the house.  I checked in with Pat periodically throughout the 2 weeks he was working at our house and he was always ready to provide detailed updates regarding progress and any issues that had popped up.  He finished work on a Friday and had left the house before I returned home.  I was pleasantly surprised when he stopped by on Saturday morning to review the work one last time and make sure that everything was done to satisfaction.  I would certainly use Pat for future projects and am glad we found him.

Patrick did a fine job for us.  He went above and beyond our expectations on the work. I would call him a perfectionist in the best sense of the word. He does his work until it is at a level of quality--and more--in every aspect. No hesitancy in recommending him without reservations.

Pat mostly works by himself since he is a perfectionist. He is very detail-oriented and will not cut corners regardless of whether a defect would be immediately visible to the customer. He anticipates he may need to make additional small repairs and enhancements and usually does so gratis even though his estimate was more than competitive. Since he does many jobs he can offer valuable insights into the latest styles and products if requested. I was very pleased with the end result - his skill and professionalism were very apparent.
Pat also performs handyman repairs and did a few other small projects for me - refinished the grout and caulk in another bathroom that had been poorly done by a previous contractor, repaired an interior door that had been badly planed and scratched,
repaired a sticking sliding pantry shelf drawer that I was unable to figure out and most notably added a beautiful frame to a mirror that was glued to a wall. Again I was very happy with the results and the improvement they made to the house. As was typical, Pat
was prone to fixing other items he would notice "in the vicinity" (such as scratches in the woodwork) if he could do so.

Patrick did an excellent job of working through the many challenges sometimes faced when working with old plumbing and exceeded my expectations in respect to the quality and timelines of his work.   That special award status on "Angie's" is most deserving from my perspective.  Thanks Patrick for "Job Well Done"...
