The technicians checked the hot water heater as well as cleaned it. It is an older one, but they discovered the problem, replaced the part and waited to be sure that the problem was solved, before leaving.

I used them in the past. They wore shoe protection to keep the house clean.

Per discussion with plumber when he quoted the price a for things, we said we felt the prices for each item were high. Example, $63 to remove stuck hose on spigot outside. I said what if it comes right off in 2 minutes, will you still charge us $63?? He said he could give us a credit. It came right off and he still charged $63. Not fair to us. And He never gave us a chance to use Angie's list coupon! Left is with a bad feeling about this company!

The technician was very thoughtful and did a great job.

My original comment is below, and still accurate... this comment is regarding customer service. The woman that answered the phone was fantastic. She listened to my frustrations, empathized and gave me a $50 off my bill. I cannot overstate how awesome she was with this frustrating situation.

We called Muetzel based on Angie's List and will NOT use them again (they are actually here now). We had a small 2 foot pipe split. The plumber came to our house ($130). Determined he didn't have the correct pipe... CHARGED us $125 for him to drive back to his office because of the distance... so we are paying $272 for a simple pipe fix. I have never experienced this with a home repair service.

Both technicians were extremely professional and did a great job- exceeded my expectations. The water heater was replaced on a Sunday which is considered overtime and the cost was $1,600.

The plumber was prompt, courteous, and professional. He performed exemplary work at a reasonable price.

The technician was fast and friendly. I appreciate them coming in the middle of the night. He arrived within 30 minutes of talking to him.

Called in last week for an estimate for a sump pump and a new garbage disposal. Person on the phone gave me a window of 7:30 a.m. till 9 a.m. for an estimator. At 9:00 a.m. called back to confirm and they forgot to put me on the schedule. My time is very valuable and it's difficult to find a window to wait for an estimator and then have to have them not show up. Guess on to the next company for the work

It went well. They were quick, professional and did a good job.

This was the perfect example of how TO be a great contractor. Called prior to showing up to confirm, showed up right on time. We clearly discussed scope of work on the front end and Shawn clearly described the process. Shawn was able to fit us in to get the work remedied same day and everything was done as promised. A+ Transaction out of a sh*tty situation.

Meutzel Plumbing employs competent plumbers who took care of our plumbing needs for years, but not anymore. We called Meutzel for an estimate on installing exterior pipes to drain the water from our downspouts to the street. They sent over a fellow who walked around the property awhile, then said we needed to schedule an appointment with Meutzel’s estimator, Mike Cisar. Why didn’t they send Mike out to begin with instead of wasting our time? I phoned Mike, and he agreed to come out two days later. This guy knows everything there is to know about yard drains, and two minutes after you meet him you feel like you’ve known him forever. What a great guy! That was over three weeks ago, and we’re still waiting for the estimate. In the meantime, we called a company that emailed the estimate an hour after the walk-around and have since installed our exterior pipes and those of our neighbor. In the course of soliciting bids for the yard drain project, we found ourselves a new plumbing company. They have already done excellent work for us. While they were here, I asked them to ballpark the cost of replacing two lavatory faucets, and it was about half of what Meutzel Plumbing charged us to do that job.

Great! They replaced my bathtub drain and replaced an old damaged section of pipe as well. The job was more involved than they originally thought it would be, but they were able to complete it that same day anyway. Took time to answer my questions as well. They also were great about scheduling to meet my needs. Would recommend this company.

I was dissatisfied with their pricing. I sent their payment in and told them I would never use them again. The gas company was doing work so they had to turn off the gas. When they went to turn on the pipes they said there were gas links. I called the Muetzel company because they had put in a water heater. After they got there, they said they charge $150 an hour to do a pressure test. If they had told me that when I called in I would have looked for someone else but at that point I felt like I was over the barrel. I had to get it fixed but it cost over $1000 the service was excellent, the quality was excellent but the cost. I would never use them again. Muetzel charges at least $50 more an hour than others. If you have a leak you have to do this pressure test to see where the leak is coming from. I don't think there was even a leak after they did all that. At any rate, I would not have paid $150 an hour. They were punctual. The technician was professional and he felt badly. He felt so badly. When I wrote there check, I wrote that I would never use them again. They can charge whatever they want but they should be upfront.

Very well. Punctual, professional and got the job done in a timely fashion. They were not cheap but I do feel they are fair.

July 24, 2017 Response to initial Web contact was prompt: "Please provide spec, cut and submittal sheet for all fixtures and filters you would like us to install." What!? I'm a homeowner and have no idea what you're speaking of. I suggested the products I thought would work in my initial request. Beyond demands for information no homeowner should be expected to know, "Residential Estimator" Mike Cisar doesn't answer his phone or answer e-mails. A call to office and reached Melissa Jemai who attempted to help -- but had to defer to Mike Cisar. Back and forth, back and forth -- "Ferguson has to send us whatever..." "Ferguson is sending..." Don't' waste your time. They don't want your business. Now September 13, I've found an independant who appreciates the business. Bough the fixtures on Amazon for a great deal less than Ferguson. My guess is that Muetzel is more interested in new builds or large jobs -- not a laundry list of repairs and upgrades.

The fill valve was replaced and all is working great

I have been using them for about 8 years and they provide excellent service. One thing I really like about them is that they're extremely clean. If I ever have a problem they are willing to come back out and fix it.

Kevin did both jobs. He was very pleasant and professional, answering any questions I had. He took time and figured out a way to place the new duct vent in a place that would be better for us. He even gave me warning when one part of the job would be loud, so I could make sure I moved the baby to another room.

The person who answer the phone was very friendly and professional! Told me they had a window from 9am to 3:30pm and we were the 2nd call.I went and purchased water heater and called back ! I still was 2 call and same window! Plumber was. On his way at 9:30 am! Plumber Steve got to my house and estimate the cost to put in the water heater and fix he valve!Cost was the same cost of the water heater for labor! Steve was VERY PROFESSIONAL and friendly! Did not mine thatI watch the installment! Great Job ! Thank you!!

Fabulous! They were able to get me in much quicker than expected. They were friendly and professional. I would definitely hire them again!

Work was good, but they arrived at 11:30 am. At 11:40 they left to get something they needed, which they hadn't brought with them. Arrived back at 12:15 pm. I got charged for them driving from office to my house and the time they left because they didn't have what they needed. So, I got charged $130 for them driving. Like I said, work was good, but I would never pay for them to drive again.

They're a pretty big outfit. We got three estimates before we had the work done and theirs was in the middle, and I just liked the people better when they came to the house, so that's why we hired them. It was still awfully expensive. They are trustworthy, because there was another leak after they were here that day and they came right back out, free of charge, found the problem, and fixed it immediately. I would say they're very reliable. This is the only time we have used them.
